  1. Paul Harvey....one of the greatest voices on radio.
  2. Per my Plymouth 1936-1942 Master Parts List for 1940 P10 Coupe: Part Type Code 23-09-1 (pages 358-360) RH lower glass channel #850253 (vent type) illustration shows with rollers LH lower glass channel #850254 (vent type) illustration shows with rollers RH front channel #849459 LH front channel #849460 RH rear channel #849563 LH rear channel #849564
  3. I'm sort of in the same boat. I need the passenger glass channel for my '38 Coupe. The rollers with the spring lost there tension and doesn't roll up properly. I'll mess with sooner or later. Your '40 is a beauty....1 of my favorite body styles. NICE WORK!!!
  4. If you're not a fabricator, here's an engine/trans mounting kit. I have not used it, just saw it recently. http://www.butchscoolstuff.com/42-53-plymouth-41-53-dodge-sb-chevy-engine-transmission-mount-kit-2192cp/ **EDIT** BTW, do what you want, it's your car.
  5. What casper said....also, post some pics of your car. It looks BADA$$!!, but the avatar is too small. My "S's" work, but get deleted on certain adult words, so $$ instead. Welcome from So Cal.
  6. Not to be a smart a$$, but type "pertronix" in the search box at the top right, make sure the right side of the search box shows "forums". You should get quite a few results. **EDIT** spelling
  7. Such a great idea and every time I read it, I tell myself I have to do it. Maybe this summer.....
  8. Looks AND sounds great Fred! Can you post a pic or 2 of your linkage?
  9. I talked to you earlier today. Give me a day or 2. **EDIT** I also suggest you edit your post and delete your number and have members contact via PM. (red envelope icon at the top right of the page)
  10. Try: http://www.hillcofasteners.com/
  11. I've used thread sealant with teflon for the studs, for the gasket/housing, I used the expensive Permatex Indian Head gasket Shellac Compound on each sealing surface....think it was around $4. No leaks, but kind of messy.
  12. If you don't find a puller, I have 1 you can borrow and local to you.
  13. If you go with the Edgy head, it takes about 3 months....or at least it did for me 2-1/2 years ago. Worth the wait.
  14. Here's one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1930s-1940s-Plymouth-Dodge-DeSoto-Chrysler-NOS-MoPar-REAR-SPRING-CLIP-U-Bolt-/361558342255?hash=item542e8e7a6f:g:wb4AAOSwr0ZXNxvb&vxp=mtr
  15. Mine is mounted just in front of the rear axle on the inside frame rail with a filter between the pump and the tank. It's close enough to the tank to push. I also have a filter just before the split in the fuel line for my dual carbs. No pics though.
  16. Edgy regrinds cams also....if needed. He's in California.
  17. What does your service manual say?
  18. Don't go calling people out for not offering to help and then make excuses why you can't.
  19. Welcome to the forum from So Cal. Good luck with the conversion.
  20. That dual set-up looks NICE!!! I did the same, went true duals all the way, no x-over. Can't wait for the start-up video.
  21. Does this question really need to be addressed? Answer seems pretty obvious.
  22. I think what Tim is saying is, core/demo a hole in the garage floor a few inches from the back wall, about 6"-8" diameter, then with a post hole digger, go down 2'-3', drop in the 4" round pipe (1/4"-5/16" thick) and fill around AND inside the pipe with concrete. Close enough to the wall to be out of the way, strong enough to pull just about any rolling vehicle, and doubles as a parking stop in case the brakes don't work. You can even do as Big Daddy said and add a plate or fixture for a bench type mounted power tool.
