  2. I was there the last few hours Saturday and only saw a couple Mopars (will post pics soon). Previous years, I've seen quite a bit more.
  3. Welcome from a slightly northern neighbor. Your car looks great. I think there are a few members local to you. Some of us LA/OC guys meet once in a while, if you're interested, hit us up. Check the Off Topic forum for So Cal......
  4. Petty cool Tony. How is that new "flame" structure? I have to go check it out, a few brother Iron Workers I'm friends with worked on it.
  5. I remember Northridge very well, was about 45 miles from there and still hit hard. I vaguely remember the Sylmar quake in '71, was only 7 or 8 at the time. A few others stand out too, here in earthquake central.
  6. If it will cheer you guys up a bit, I'll be driving my Plymouth today, might have to put on a sweatshirt though, it's down in the 60's here....brrrrrrr. Lucky for us, winter only lasts a couple days. If I want snow, it's less than a 2 hour drive, the beach, 10 minutes.
  7. Welcome from So Cal, where there is no such thing as winter. Start a classified ad for all your parts, so this thread does not locked. Sounds like some good plans I'll be following. There's at least 1 thread currently on the main page with a 5.7 HEMI, sure you've seen it already.
  8. Maybe here:https://egge.com/product/kits.php?action=Search+MMY&kit_make=DODGE&kit_model=WAYFARER&kit_year=1949&kit_engine= *EDIT* Hit 77 today here in So Cal....damn weather.
  9. If someone REALLY wanted it, they would've called and made an offer. A turbo flathead.....cool, a turbo flathead in a more door.....not for me. Buy it for the flathead, part/sell/scrap the rest to recoup some cash, hopefully come out ahead.
  10. Or just call the guy and ask him.
  11. Oak was driving the '34 Plymouth Coupe......very nice car. I don't think he's a member on here.
  12. My headers from Langdon conflicted with my fuel pump, but I've seen others installed with the stock fuel pump. I made a block off plate/gasket and used an electric fuel pump mounted near the gas tank, with an in-line filter between the tank and pump and also a filter before the dual carbs.
  13. Did you have to cut any of the interior floor/trunk or notch the frame? Does it sit on the rear bump stops when fully lowered? Any pics of the rear set-up?
  14. That's works for me, I could throw a rock from my house and hit the south end of El Dorado Park......or meet at my house.
  15. I'm off the last exit off the 605 before getting to the 405. Call or PM me.
  16. We can meet up around the 5/605 or 605/405 (very close to me) and head down together. LMK.
  17. Had the expansion plugs welded on my Offy, since I heard the same thing. Truth or urban myth, just didn't want to have to take it apart and redo it.
  18. I was running an Offy dual carb intake with 2 of the carbs in the following link, which ran great out of the box. I switched to a Nicson intake with 2 stock carbs for nostalgic reasons. I'm also using Langdon's cast headers & mini HEI-which I will eventually switch with my stock distributor and Pertronix set-up. http://www.langdonsstovebolt.com/store/online-catalog/#!/Carter-Weber-Carburetor-With-choke-pigtails/p/1222026/category=361512
  19. Here's a link for you, scroll down and click on the "P" engines: http://www.t137.com/registry/help/otherengines/otherengines.php
  20. Here's a brass 1 for a long block, less than 1/2 the price of the link I posted recently. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1936-54-CHRYSLER-DESOTO-6-CYLINDER-WATER-DISTRIBUTION-TUBE-116-/401049421190? *EDIT* I confirmed with the seller that it is brass, but not the length, though it says Chrysler De Soto....I have no affiliation with the seller.
  21. Here's a link to the Tanks Inc Mopar fuel tank page. This way, you're more likely to get what you ordered. http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/category_id=68/mode=cat/cat68.htm Tanks Inc offers repop tanks for my '38, unfortunately, they are Poly tanks ('35/'36 & '37-'39 Plymouth & Dodge listed are Poly-all others are steel).....no tank you.
