  1. Same as the 217/218 sizes-? Per the book. Mine is at a friends at the moment.
  2. Do not over do closing up the gaps. Leave room for high build primer to be used and paints build up whether single stage or two stage. Looking good!! DJ
  3. Booger, Which clock on Ebay are you going to buy? Maybe I will buy the other! ? DJ
  4. Unity Spotlights were still selling spots/ fogs/ etc. a few years back and a big also was parts for the products they made including new Mopar Names on some. New bulbs were avail. . 6 volt ? I do not remember as my stuff is 12 V. They still have have a web page but listing are Under Construction Pages as of today. Try later, call? DJ
  5. My mid sized Battery Tender recharged my old car batteries many many time from a dead state that would not even make a starter click. Cost about $60 most places. Just do not be in a hurry, it can take close to a whole day (overnight usually was enough) and could also be left on for long periods where the charge output was just micro volts to hold a charge without overcharging (storage). DJ
  6. Surprised that no one yet has mentioned the fuel line and plastic fuel filter right on top of the Very hot (often) exhaust manifold. Make sure you buy full coverage, agreed value coverage for the vehicle. If stored indoors make sure your home insurance covers the building it is in. Both good ideas but please move the filter and use a metal filter, not plastic, OK? ? DJ
  7. Is the picture very close to the front end of the motor and above the generator mount. To my way of thinking it appears to be further back on the motor, mid way or more so. DJ
  8. The part is 1/8" NPT into the motor. National pipe thread is what is most often used in the US for ages.. Where as Europe used British Pipe threads and others. Comes down to the # of threads per Inch or other measurements and the size of the pipe. The part ( fitting) can be a straight to what ever oil pipe thread type connection is and be a 45 degree , 90 degree or what works best for your application. DJ
  9. I noticed the headliner and poor condition of the sun visor and what appears to be seat covers. Using and old and oor condition car for seat belt ad ?? Poor choices on the part of the casting people for sure! DJ
  10. Wonder if Pat P. is still alive and willing to be president?? ? DJ
  11. Pictures would really help for us to advise. TKs. DJ
  12. I was going to say after Snipers post- When did they start labeling fused as 6 volt or 12 volt. As Ken said- amps is amps (within limits like up to 250 volts, them them complicated electrons start to act strangely I guess- I am not a electrical engineer. ? DJ
  13. Wheels the same color as the fenders would make this contraption actually cute ? I do like it for some reason. ? Beautifully done Tim! ?? DJ Oh, does it drive fast enough to go some distances?
  14. If your state uses the gas fumes vacuum when adding gas set up as Calif. does, if it not working properly the pressure will back up and cause issues like this. Try putting a small amount of fuel in at another location? Just a thought. DJ
  15. You have a lot of rusty metal that needs to be replaced. Pans to keep it in the family and be used pretty much dictate the repairs, plus you live on the east coast with Snow! Watch the videos suggested and many more if you really are willing to do the work. I was going to say - and able- but most of us were not totally (or even slightly) able at the start of our projects! Some money for needed parts and perseverance is what IS required. Maybe also an understanding/ supportive ? wife if applicable. Others will surely disagree but I personally recommend getting a mig welder that uses gas and solid wire not flux coated wire without the gas . No need for anything bigger than a 140 A with a small rental bottle for the co2/argon mix ( cheaper than the 100% argon) . Much easier to learn to weld and will always give a much nicer finished product! Again, My opinion! I totally agree with the need to weld clean / shiny metal parts for lasting - good looking work. Again many many U-tube videos are available on the how to's. Car totally appears worth the trouble to do the needed repairs, I have seen others on this forum do MUCH more extensive rust panel replacement as beginners. I have done my share of floor/ rockers/ body mount supports on two Plymouths myself, but I was not a total rookie to mig welding nor expert either. Good luck! DJ
  16. Seems to me that there are way more than enough on line places to express your political opinions. This forum does not really need to be another, thank you! DJ
  17. Myself I feel that a ground should Never go on a bolt that goes into a water passage of the motor. Rust issues in areas that cannot be seen. Better imo is a bolt that just goes into the block, say the generator mount bolts/ starter mount bolts as has been done on some Mopars in the past. It seems that Mopar did (may have) used the water area bolts in the stock form from factory from others posts on this forum. I cannot dispute this at all. I just choose to make myself relax about the issue by using a non water connected bolts- it is just to easy to do so. ? DJ
  18. What is steer set up in this ? Affects what type of motors readily fit in the compartment. Appears as thought the center part of the steer tie rod linkages pass through the oil pan ?? DJ
  19. Did you plug the other Inlet port and also the 2nd. outlet port with pipe plugs.? I also hate to ask this but-- DJ
  20. Is the bolt on mounting flange at a different angle as it appears? If it is it is the wrong pump. If not and is at the same mount angle, then rotate the top as other have suggested. DJ
  21. Voltage checks while running are in order I think! Is all in order? DJ
  22. Back when horse and buggies ruled the road and cars had to pull to the side of the road when a horse came by. The E brakes did their job! Was that an emergency when the name was coined? DJ
  23. Kens idea is the best I believe. A replacement rear axle is always a possibility - Other ways for temporary brakes are a available and used for racing , also construction machinery etc. I searched " hydraulic holding brake " and quickly got one response. I did not spend any more time but you sure could. https://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS/JEGS-Hydraulic-Brake-Lock/1769685/10002/-1 DJ
  24. Well I'm busted. Been on the forum so long Tim is on to me. I guess I get bored sometimes and just try to have some fun here, too serious at times. Just old cars we spend too much money on. But can not seem to help ourselves! ? DJ
