  1. does anyone have any suggestions on where i can get some pinion shims for a 1951 b-3-b rear end?
  2. check out auto spring on liberty street in winston-salem. they might could help you out to re-arch the springs.
  3. im not sure i could have gotten them out by hand, but the brake drum ideas probably would have worked. plus, my lathe was getting lonely anyway.
  4. less than $20 invested and it works great.
  5. the emblem in the auction will not line up with the holes on the front of your truck. the holes for the 53 emblem are more widely spaced than those for 51-52.
  6. i have done the same thing, and it makes ebay a much better experience.
  7. i made one out of a brass rod the same od of the guide with a pilot to slip in the center. a tip on replacing them is to always clean the engine first so you dont drive any hardened carbon on the guide through the hole in the block and ruin the hole.
  8. Ill probably be getting myself one this year, and because of headroom issues in my garage, Dannmar's Max Jax seems like the best option for me.
  9. I made some steel shims for mine to take up slack on the worn portion of the spring eye.
  10. i got these same ones for mine, and they are great.
  11. ive got an alemite 500 that i got from a bowling alley that was closing years ago and it still works great.
  12. the lower hole should be offset to the front of the truck so that the clutch housing will be angled the same direction as the windshield. later trucks have slots in the brackets.
  13. 1977 ford maverick sedan. i still have it and it only has 44k original miles. white exterior and red interior with the 250cid inline 6.
  14. i like the round fenders myself. they better match the openings on the front.
