  1. On one hand we say differ from the herd and on the other if you do you are slammed for it. Do it your way.
  2. make sure you have good jack stands and not those cheep ones that will fold up on you. Do this on concrete or some other hard surface as they will sink in ground and tip over when you don't expect it. Life is only good if we work to keep it that way.
  3. Thats not too close however I would put a shield on anyway. Have it about 1/4" off the pipe. Can't hurt.
  4. It isnt that hard to clip a car. No more work (time wise) then changing all that other stuff over. A clip can be bought for $50.00. You can spend $800.00 easy to change over to disc-shocks- rack-ect. Do it your way. Both work fine if DONE RIGHT. If you don't know how to do it have it done. As long as you enjoy your car however its done thats what counts. Bill
  5. Restoration Specialties 814 467 9842--814 467 9282--WWWrestorationspecialties.com:D
  6. I would think for that price you could have them sleved then they would be good for life.
  7. after you get things lined up where you want them drill two 1/32" holes in each part. When you put it together the next time put drill bits back in the holes and you are set.
  8. Hay guys, I see this all the time. Go to your local parts store first. NAPA,Carquest,Autozone,Advance, rallys or what ever. Ck them first and you will be suprised at what they can get you. A lot of times they can go from the orginal part #. Will save you a lot of GREEN STUF. On big ticket items ck them all as prices will vary as mush as 30-40% sometime. Bill
  9. why not ask? Ok how do you kn:Dow?

  13. I am with Desota1939 ,not that anyone cares. The same thing hapened a few months ago with two disc brake co's some one used wording that someone didn't like and a half dozen people got all up in the air for what I don't know. We can't all use the right words, build our cars or use the right technical terms to please everyone however we can all have respect for each other and if you want to paint your car pink with yellow spots I will still help you if I can. I don't have to agree with your color choice. Don't we all love cars and yours DOES NOT have to be like mine. We can spend our time helping instead of categorizing. Bill
  14. Tim, I must have the 4114. TOO tight. Spent all day cleaning glue off doors. Still have one to do. 4114s is 1/8" thiner. Should work better.

  18. Always good to meet people from the form. Old man Mike seems like a cool guy but I don't know what to think of that Rodney. Sort of STRANGE.

  20. If you are storing it under a tarp you might as well take it to the scrap yard now. When you wrap a car up in a tarp everything rust 10 times faster.
