I don't know why some of you have gotten off on this archives kick. It seems lately a lot of post are answered by find it in the archives. The answer is not always as easy to find for some as for others. If you don't want to answer the post why not just go to the next. If a question is ask 20 times no bid deal. My 3 cents

I have loosened the mains to drop the crank down a little and pulled the old top seal out and the new in. They make a tool to do this but I just run a small wire through it.

Tony, you should have a metal screw in plug. No tank came with a rubber plug. Someone put that there maybe because the threads are messed up or something. I would remove it and see what the story is.
