    Did you ever find the steering wheel bearing and bushing? I just got them out of the column on my 52 wayfarer. They are in pretty good shape. You are welcome to have them if you can use them. Send me a message if you are interested.

    I wrecked my 52 Wayfarer in 2007. look at my attachments in my profile, It was way worse than yours. Anyway, I posted on here, and the Hamb and found most everything in Kentucky. Went and picked up and they turned out to be too rusty to use, Finally found front clip in Pittsburg and they turned out good. If I remember correctly, I found them on the hamb.     Believe it or not the ignition switch fell out of the dash in my my 52 Wayfarer a couple of days ago. I'm 77 years old and too stiff to lay upside down and try to tighten it up . So, I pulled the front seat out and laid up under the dash and tighten the set screw. It is still hard to reach, but a whole lot easier with seat pushed out the right door. It only took about 20 minutes to remove seat. Push seat all way forward and 8 bolts and trim removal makes it quick and easy. good luck Bob P.S. It's also a good time to clean up some of the crap that accumulates under there.

    Makes me feel a little less ignorant to see there is another member who can't post a picture. I'm 77 and the technology has passed me by.My grand son showed me how about 5 or 6 years ago, but that lesson left the house.

    I live in Va. beach. I use Grundy and register both cars as collector .I got period license plate and one time register. No state inspection or property tax. One of my cars is pretty loud, but no hassle from police about noise or anything else. just abide by the law and your fine.

    google Max Merit Auto Parts. They have Packard parts, but also make trim pieces for any car. They made the side trim for my '52 Dodge.

    It's been a while, but I remember having to grind a small amount off of the caliper body to get it to fit my '52 Dodge..I have a Plydo kit on the Dodge,so you know it's been a while. I have stock 15in. wheels.

    I used pvc molding for 4X4 post. Got the piece that screws to post, cut to length, then the cover piece cut to length. screw base down on rocker and then snap cover piece..you can shape cover easily. Doesn,t look stock, but gives a clean finished look. Bob

    The reason I remember this car is when I was a kid I worked in a Mobil station at 7 corners Va. One of those came in all the time and got full service. The engine was in rear and the radiator fill cap and the oil fill cap were real close to each other. One of the other kids that worked there either put oil in radiator or water in the crank and it caused a lot of trouble.

    I worked in a Mobil station in 1962. Then a Texaco for $1/hr. while in college for 2 years. In 1985 I bought a full serve Amoco and had 5 of them by 2001 when I sold all of them. BP had bought out Amoco by then. Don't miss them one bit.

    Google seasick steve baracuda 68. this guy has been around a long time and he has music to suit all kinds of tastes. He does a song called "Can't teach old dog new tricks". Uses a guitar made from crosley hub caps. PA, check this guy out. I'm prettysure you can find something you will like.

    can,t you take an appropriate size bolt and cut the head off and thread it in 1/2 in. or so and hang the wheel until you can get a couple of bolts started ?

    Check Diamondback tires web site. They have big selection. I have the 215X15 3in. radials. They have been great. I used the Dyna Bead balance beads and am having good luck. Tires wearing nicely..Need to keep them rotated. PS I have a '52 Wayfarer

    Yea, good to see you back on the forum. That 55 plymouth bumper I got from you has been straightened and rechromed and is on my 52 Wayfarer. The club I'm in is planning a small trip to S&S racing in Nags Head soon.. If I can I'll swing by your place so you can see it. I still have you number so I'll call 1st.

    Yes, those are clips I got from chevs of the 40"s.

    I got some clips from Chevs of the 40"s. I used them to replace some missing original clips and they worked fine. Go to wheels, then hub caps. I used small bolt and lock nut, but could probably weld also. e
