  1. have you tried Restoration Specialties?
  2. the parts book say "left" and "right", but earlier it says qty 2 under the first PN section, with the "left" and "right" later. The wipers I took off my truck are different. One is shorter than the other and the mount for the blade is angled on the longer one. What is the difference between the electric and vacuum type? so.....
  3. Looks like I'll have the night of the 29th to myself to do what I want.
  4. true the VW's were around in WWII, should have pointed at the mustangish car as more of a tell.
  5. the reviews of the place are interesting. From "best in the world" type to "Satan could do better" type.
  6. well my Epay puchase came yesterday and I quickly tried it on one of my bezels. It seems to need a little "oomph" to get it on, now this is one that hasn't been rechromed yet so I wasn't worried. Does Erics take any "oomph" to seat to the bezel? If not, I think I'll get one from him so as to not scratch up my pretty ones. This tool is also steel. has a flat for awrench to use, I'm sure it'll work just fine, but I do worry about how tight it is to the bezel.
  7. I wonder if the seat hasn't been restored once already? I know VW's are old, but THAT old?
  8. You can also check with Midwest Military for the bed strips, the ONLY source that I've found for "stock" strips, everyone else has them wrong for Dodges. I think I spent $125 for my 9' bed strips custom made length. Or I could sell ya for $50 the Mar-K strips I bought but didn't use. Holes would proabbly be in the wrong spots tho.
  9. yes, my truck parts are now 6 weeks behind "schedule" and I have no solid date yet when I'll get them back.... as my co-worker said (nationally known huge hot rodder), chromers care less about you, your parts, or your timeline.
  10. I can when I get home if no one else has....mine is even apart still.
  11. pretty sure all the tailgate lettering was painted argent. Doesn't mean you have to tho.
  12. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous you're that close!
  13. well the "local" yard I went to takes about 1.5 hours to get to from my house, has 100 acres of vehicles and only 2 PH trucks, or what really remains of 2 trucks with random stuff tossed in the cabs. Not much left honestly. I was hoping a "new" one had shown up in the last 2 years, to no avail, heck the one cab was one I had picked a few things from 2 summers ago. And Ed, Sunny's (drove by it on the way out to French Lake) everything is crushed and stacked....big EMPTY field now....
  14. if there are any extra 16" split lock ring style rims' I'd be interested in a good one.
  15. middle one's hood center seems wrong for a B3_?
  16. I went to the "local" yard today and found some things I don't need: found this dash ornament, the pegs on back are broken off, but maybe some new ones could be glued back on (machine a small counterbore and glue in some new clear plastic pegs)? also found this SS nose piece that should be for the Dodges (it was loose in a PH cab). I don't have one so I don't know for sure. PM me if you are interested in either, will pass along for cost or trade.
  17. glad my thread helped you as well as it did me!
  18. I've picked up some decent ones that I won't need, I've managed to snap a bunch of Epay that we NOS and in good condition. I bought some "refurbed" ones a while back that I could let go for what I paid for them. The only one I need to hold onto is the "throttle" knob.
  19. rats, I forgot you did those as well, I woulda bought from you. I'll let ya know how well it works
  20. this is the one I got. I'm sure they will relist them again. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200698987719?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  21. $18 including shipping? I bought one yesterday as well.
