  1. we had 80° this last weekend in Minnesota.....trees are budding, grass is growing and it's still March! No snow left (never had much this year). I'm going to have to mow my first mow in March!
  2. I'd disagree, my truck is my first vehicle and taking it down to the nuts and bolts has given me quite the understanding of the how and why. I think it might come down to drive to finish a project being very important tho. This place has saved my sanity several times as well.
  3. I used 1/32" gasket material. Tested and sounds horny.
  4. there is a hole cut my firewall pad so it directly mounted to the firewall
  5. I used a long T ahndle wrench for one, then my friend just used a channel locks and "simply" hooked it....but he's the stongest man I know and built like a small mountain.
  6. windshield should be lammy glass PERIOD (actually law I believe). Side windows can be tempered or lammy. Jeff you show up here, I'll gladly supply a case of beer or a bottle to share whilst jawing about trucks.

  13. came in the mail today, so cool to have! Complete with crumbling paper work! Only thing missing is the tube and sprayer for the divider bar...kinda a bummer, and they weren't shown so....it is what it is, but the pump still works!

  16. yep, pretty much! Just remember to lift with your back!
  17. ya vol! mine are as well, we lubed a TON and chased the threads and with a little heat they came off.
  18. we tightened my U bots HARD! About all we could give it to get them gutntite!
  19. 4 speed....us Minnesota boys are dumb when it comes to lifting things!
  20. I mounted my engine first and lifted by hand the tranny in....they aren't that heavy, I could pick mine up and carry it in my arms. But I had my cab off too tho.
  21. well, my one rear spring was about 3" shorter and 2" longer than the other....it was trashed...if I had my truck down that far....go all the way is my thought! My fronts are in good shape, but very rusty, they are open to anyone who is willing to pay shipping!
