my `46 Dodge sat a while as we replaced the clutch etc. then I drove it on my lawn to wash ans right front wheel locked..master cyliwas empy, I filled it and found one of the springs on right front wheel was broken.Replaced by 2 I bought from Andy Bernbaum, they were a little shorter but they said that they were the replacement parts, but now the fron wheel locks up when I apply the brakes..Any advice what to look for would be good. I know that I have to bleed brakes but not too sure about how to readjust the brakes

guess I`ll have to rotate the drive shaft first.. also is there a way to use my 12 volt timing lite on the 6 volt positive ground system? thanks for all the ideas

I replaced clutch, pressure plate & t/o bearing..now i have vibration when i drive `46 dodge why////

yes the spring is off since the tranny was pulled out i now have it on work bench

one release eye bolt on pressure plate is broken..don`t know where piece went. i plan to replace pressureplate since the release levers have some wear levers on tranny: it`s out of car,"gear shift operating lever" (upper one) moves foreward and back ok---"gear shift selector lever" (lower one) moves back but not foreaward of center. it just moves free..no feeling of resistance or engagement.. i will be replacing the throw-out bearing and clutch if it needs it..i haven`t seen it yet. any suggestions will be appreciated as i`m not much of a mechanic..just working off advice and shop manual..thanks

sorry i was out of town due to family sickness...when i got back i tried to put car into gear..it was running, 1st. and reverse would grind and would not go into gear...would not go into 2nd nor 3rd with engine running..i shut engine off and put tranny into 2nd. gear and started engine. with clutch in, good thing i had the hand brake on cause even with the clutch in it wanted to go.. i do have the shop manual but it doesn`t show a trouble shooting page....is my clutch not going in???or is the pivot for the fork not in place??? thanks for any hints that you can give me...

my 46 dodge with fluid drive seems to be locked out of 1st. and reverse...it just happened don`t know why but i can`t shift into those gears. HELP PLEASE

when i bought my `46 dodge, it was set to neg. grn.. since it wasn`t charging too good i had the generator and voltage regulator rebuilt..now i want to change it back to pos. grn. to install a radio in it. what all do i have to change to get it right? help..i`m still learning.

when i open inspection cover to adjust valves i found a keep at bottom near #1 valve. without pulling engin how can i find out if there is a keep missing in any of the valves? tried to compress spring but it would compress down and i couldn`t see keep...even vought a small video camera to see it but we couldn`t see it help.. 1946 dodge flat head..
