  1. I have been using the magnetic signs for years on my factory painted new trucks without any ill effects. Only removing them when going thru the car wash. I just went out an checked the signs on my 56 1 ton I sandblasted to bare metal and repainted several years ago and sure enough. Rust has started to come through the new paint. If you use these signs they should be removed when not needed. I left mine on for a couple of years. I wondered if this was happening but I wasn't worried about the paint because I hadn't done the final body and paint work.
  2. Mike, You haven't filled out a profile so I don't know where you are located but here's a place in California. http://www.showcarquality.com/dashGlass.htm I sold this business to these guys back in 1979 and they have been doing a great job ever since.
  3. Here's a few places. What are you looking for? http://www.oldmoparts.com/ http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/truck_parts.asp And then there's always eBay.
  4. Thanks Merle, I'm looking for one with a pretty large screen. I saw one on eBay with a 7" diagonal screen. That seemed to be the largest portable one I found. I might be able to read that one without hunting for the reading glasses. What size screen does yours have?
  5. Here's a question for you guys with a Garmin GPS street pilot. Will these show and tell you where you are in a large lake or reservoir or even in the 1000 miles of the California Delta network. My wife Lisa and I just got back from a 4 day scenic driving trip. My wife is the designated Navigator but has a tough time reading maps and likes to rely on her intuition 50/50. So we are sort of lost 1/2 the time but keep telling ourselves it doesn't matter. We are sight seeing. It's all good until we discover we just drove by that place an hour ago. On our way home from this trip I told her I was going to get her one of these Gadgets for her Birthday which is coming right up. She said OK so I'm in the market for one but I thought it would be great to have one we can use on the boat in inland waterways and large lakes as well as on the road.
  6. Does your Dad's Dump truck happen to have the factory dual intake and exhaust setup?
  7. Oh, your welcome. I love this stuff! I found the book on eBay a few years ago. Bob Koch has scanned and posted the pages on the DPETCA site for all to see.
  8. Rodney, Any idea what the max. amount of snow your carport has seen all at once?
  9. I know Lee. I watched your auction and was surprised that you didn't get more. I have seen them go for more than that.
  10. Paulseed, Here's a 230 c.i. M37 engine I recently removed from a Power Wagon. The engine # starts with T245. Is this the type of pan you are looking for. The engine is not for sale but this might help in your search. The downward curve starts at about 11" from the front lip of the pan. It would be my guess that even the longer 251 or 265 engines wouldn't start the downward turn to the sump at 15" or the sump would be too small. Just my guess.
  11. Here's another rig my older brother put together for me for a birthday present. The rotten sob.
  12. Yeah, it's been kind of a hassle. I have to go in the back door and drop down in the drivers seat through a trap door in the overhead bed floor. I didn't want to complain though cause they get the job done in 1 day and the price was right.
  13. Looks like your roommate is doing a thorough job Jen. Keep up the good work!
  14. Maybe you could meet somewhere in the middle and get one of these.
  15. That sounds cool Ed. I took the easy way out a while back a dropped my 42 3 window off at the Maxwell Coach Works in Santa Maria,Ca. and had them do the conversion. Turned out rather nice don't ya think.
  16. Or another option would be to graft a 46 Dodge Truck front end on it. Sorta of a reverse UTE.
  17. OK Bob...Thanks.....I'll email the seller and see if He'll finance it for me. Sure hope it gets good gas mileage cause I don't have much gas money.
  18. Kinda looks like maybe a 50's Chevy wagon.
  19. You'd better rescue this one Rodney. It's on the endangered species list.
  20. OK....who wants to lend me the money for this car PLEASE? eBay # 190047600212 Come on.....I'll chauffeur you around for one whole year.
  21. Hey yeah !!! Buy the car for $500 and sell the bulbs on eBay for $500 and have the car for nutin.
  22. This is what the holes are for Bob. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/special_equipment/accessories/imgcol/index.htm
  23. Glad to hear that you would consider making another set. Maybe the second set will go a little quicker than the first. Just let me know what you think they would cost. You can PM me if ya want. Thanks, Reg
