  1. I had a 602 around here a while ago and don't remember noticing any less push buttons on the face of it. I though the 602 just had less tubes in it than the 802 but don't know for sure. Here's what B and B's book says about the radio. The radio in the green truck looks like it's missing the bottom button. I agree with Steven that the bed side spare mount is an after market item. Wish I had one.
  2. I've also bought and sold at least 8 vehicles on eBay without a hitch.
  3. My up to date "Old Cars Price Guide" say $17500 for a #1 and $12250 for a #2. Just a guide though. Sure is a nice car! Hub caps are installed upside down though. Hello !
  4. I've only rebuilt 2 sixes so I'm no expert but I always used plastigage just to make sure all was well.
  5. That would be my guess. Were you using this carb before the overhaul?
  6. Yes..either a Mopar Model 602 or 802.
  7. That funny !!! I thought about doing that until I saw what the US Coast Guard had in store for this Amphitruck.
  8. David, I'll get a quote from UPS if you'd like. What's you zip code?

  10. "Wrong Turn" is a swell little horror movie co-staring a Pilot House tow truck. Lots of blood and guts so look out. Not for the faint of heart.
  11. Oh....howsabout $200.00 for the set? Wait though...one has a blemish. I think it can be touched up with rubberized paint though.
  12. Yes , the tires have not seen much use. They were on the car when I got it. You are correct. The white wall is 4". I saw some on line today for $132 ea. These would be much less.
  13. Merry Christmas to you and your good lookin family.
  14. I'm going to try a new set of radial wide whites so I won't be needing these. They are low mileage (4) Firestones 650/16's and say tube type on them. Thought I'd offer them here first before they go on the bay. Make me an offer I can't refuse.
  15. I asked the seller some questions but haven't heard back from him yet. Looks like a 3/4 ton. Love the old door lettering. I wonder what W.G Hadden used it for?
  16. "By the way Lou. You are sentenced to 1000 lashes with a wet noodle for posting an ebay auction on the forum" Hey Norm...last time I checked the "Ebay.... Post em or Not poll" the majority voted for posting ebay items here. Does the majority rule hold up here er what?
  17. Hey...sure enough Tim. What a fart smeller.....i mean smart feller. I looked on eBay and there they were. Listed for Dodge and Jeep too. The only difference is these are 10" wide with about a 3.5" backspace. Were these what came on these vehicles from the factory or were they after market like Bob suggested? Dadgummit....they aren't worth much even new. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15-inch-Wheels-Rims-Jeep-Wrangler-Ford-Ranger-Five-lug_W0QQitemZ260057436075QQihZ016QQcategoryZ43955QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  18. Forgot to say they are 10" wide. Did the Ranger come with that wide of a rim?
  19. Great idea ! I'll bet it works fine. Here's what mine looked like after the head gasket blew and I took it apart. Totally clogged shut whith what...I don't know.
  20. They came with a 47 Dodge parts truck that bought for the good lookin and runnin D24 engine under the hood. I'm not a purest or a rodder so I don't have much experience with fancy wheels. All 4 are in good shape but could use a little buffing. What do y'all think?
  21. Here's a guy that wants to sell a 54 Dodge truck 241 semi hemi. He's in Wi. I copy/pasted his letter from the 39-47 Dodge truck forum. I did install a 1959 318 into a 59 truck that came with a L6 once. The L6 is longer than the V8 so I had to move the rear cross member forward to catch the rear of the engine mounts. Here's his letter...wish I was closer. __________________________________________ I have recently picked up a 1954 Dodge Pickup truck.. This was a very complete, non-molested truck that is in need of refurbishing. This engine looks to be in really nice shape. There is a 6 volt battery in it. I think the previous owner tried to get it running unsuccessfully. The engine turns over Very easily by hand. (for me anyway.. I am big fella) The only rust on the engine is the exhaust manifolds. Everything else has a nice light coating of oil, and my guess is there isn't any rust underneath it. I cleaned off the sticker on the air cleaner, and it is perfect! Anyway, I am selling the complete drivetrain minus the rear end, as I most likely will use that. This is a 241 V8, but it isn't a Hemi. I don't know anything of the engine's internal condition other than it does turn over by hand. This will include the engine complete from oil bath air cleaner to oil pan, remote oil filter, transmission, shifting linkage, and driveshaft. I have not taken it apart at all, and I will not be doing so. I am looking for $550.00 For all of this, and you will not find a better start, and I am including everything to help you get it all together for your truck. This is all so far I will be selling from this truck. It is located in Ripon, WI, and I can help you load it up in your truck, as I have an engine hoist. Would be interested in trades. I need a push button big block trans. Prefer a good one, but I will take a core for a partial trade. I also have a powerflite and a torqueflite available. Both pre 62 cast iron units safetymike1977@yahoo.com
  22. So, sounds like maybe either badge could be correct. Nice truck vintrader !
  23. Glenn, Is that 42 Bumper still available? The Nag
