  1. Had it on EvilBay, no bites. Out of a Cranbrook, not sure what year. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140501388301&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEUSX%3AIT email me at twoidiotsavants@gmail.com if anyone is interested.
  2. depends on where you want to put them. You dont need gr 8 on fender bolts, but they can be helpful on certain applications. you can get grade 8 fairly reasonably priced at Tractor Supply, by the pound.
  3. I am digging it in a sort of Christine or Maximum Overdrive way....
  4. I have a Knox 3/4 trailer I picked up at a garage sale. Tough old guy, from the late 40s. If anyone is looking, its just taking up space...
  5. we gotta have pictures of the Polara, that sounds so cool....
  6. I have a stake bed, in decent shape; was just trying to see if I could round up enough parts to do a concept I had, a 126" express truck with a 4x4 conversion using Power Wagon components.
  7. Anybody know where I can find a decent 126" wheelbase bed?
  8. Anyone ever use a luminescent coating? That would help illuminated those somewhat dimmly lit gauges.
  9. Toyota inline six cylinders are torqey engines, long long life span if cared for properly (I had one go to 300+ K) and are Chebby based from the old stovebolt, so they are pretty simple to work on, esp the carb models. The later TC models can have head gasket problems, but still a decent engine. IHC makes a small 2.5 liter diesel that would be cool in our trucks, but they are hard to find.
  10. Along with a 1950 version of an International, a Ford and a GMC....cool article. Does the Dodge belong to anyone here?
  11. Anybody have a (or know of) a one ton box (123 in w/b) within reasonable distance of OKC?
  12. thank you Don. could not see in my manual if it was or not. still taking the pan off tomorrow, but at least I dont have to go parts hunting.
  13. Drained the oil tonight in my slow process of getting farm truck running. Stuck my finger up in the oil pan drain hole to see if I could feel crud in there, not any I could feel, but I felt what I suppose is the oil pump pickup. It was sitting very close to the bottom of the pan and when I moved it, it moved freely, in an arc upward. Is this pickup supposed to be a swinging pickup? or is this a mess?
  14. It turned over!!!!!!!! Farm truck is waking up! Headlights and tail lights turn on too!! (insert happy dance here) New battery from Tractor Supply, an Exide brand 6V part number COM-1H-P, 750 cca. Fits very well..... Too darn hot to do much, but I did do that today. More fun tomorrow morning, when its only in the 80s....
