  4. If your carby is a carter D6G1 . the carb rebild kit is a carquest 96 625 or a NAPA 25 500 . Just order two. Most of them old carbs were the same from 39 to 55.about 23.00 $these are the wrong kits for the D6G1 carter carby. Had to order a different kit.
  5. A friend of mine put an Izuzu diesel in a short diamond T bus. I will see him this week end and see if he changed out the RR . That bus will git it down the highway. maybe a pic too.
  6. did you try to spray a little starter fluid down the carby and give it a whirl . If you got spark some thing should happen. A back fire or spudder
  7. I slide the tranny back when I RnR the pressure plate.I dabed some grease on the nose shaft
  8. I got to agree with 4mula-d , Set it on top dead center and look where the roter is pointing.. But it just seams like it should be back fireing or somthing.
  9. On my old 38 the clutch is sticking. I finally got the brakes working so I can pop the clutch loose and run it in gear and get the clutch to release. It just wont release any other way. I replaced the disc with an old one I had. I also put washers under the presser plate and spaced it away from the flywheel . Any idears
  10. is there any way the engine could have jumped time some where? If it has spark though it should back fire or something.
  11. I was going to say pullet powered but that's a rooster
  12. make sure and attach the negative side of your coil going to the wire going to the distributor. That will be negative ground.
  13. I looked again in better lite. It's a carter D6G . Does any of that make since ? Will the newer 50ish kits fit that carby? thanks
  14. I'm trying to figger out what carb I have on my 38 pickup. I'm thinking maybe stromberg but I cann't find a tag on the carb. It has crysler corp on the side of the bowl. Where's a good spot to look for a carb kit? Also where to find the vacuum steel line that goes between the carb and the distributor. I found the steel line but it's rusted shut. thanx noel in nm
  15. put a resister on your coil. ask your parts guy about if you need to change the coondensor on your points. the points them selves should be fine. i seen somwhere that they make a CDI setup for the old dodges.
