  1. I keep trying to figure out what that roof with split rear window belongs to.
  2. It is sad.....those drugs make people crazy and unpredictable.
  3. I presume these are 12V. Guess they would not work on 6V. Look like a simple way to brighten the tail/stop lights. They also make one with a single contact. They are in an ebay seller's store priced at $12.50 each. Link to the store: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220045006765&fromMakeTrack=true
  4. And, of course, those breezies come in assorted colors in plastic. Ones in previous post are stainless.....that's what i have. Then there are the headlight visors with jewel. Or plastic headlight visors. Or the chrome half moons for the top part of your headlights.
  5. Perhaps kind of like these vent window wind deflectors, also called breezies.
  6. Only one, IF you have the correct equipment.....like this ladder truck so you can simply go above parked cars.
  7. They look right for 40s--50s vintage. But I cant recall seeing any shiny stainless skirts on old MoPars.....or others for that matter. Usually were painted.
  8. Click on the link. You can spend some time looking about these neat old cars of all sorts. http://www.coachbuiltcars.com/
  9. Think I first saw this one listed for sale on ebay some time ago......must not have sold. Now some guy is trying to help the owner sell. A possible one-off vehicle. Reg, you probably need this one in your collection. Sun visor looks to be welded on. Looks like some louvers in the cowl. Would be fun to see in person. Is it coachbuilt or home-made?? Seems as if I have seen that top with the split rear window somewhere, but can find no pictures of anything similar. Click on the link for more pictures....http://www.42dodgewoodie.fws1.com/photo.html **First page of the site about the car.....http://www.42dodgewoodie.fws1.com/index.html The trunk lid is rather unusual.....is it wood or metal???? Two handles.
  10. There is one fellow in our Elks Lodge who carves......each year he makes a couple Christmas figures they auction off at a dinner. They usually bring over $100 each. This year, the same couple purchased them both.
  11. Found this photo while surfing around.
  12. I can see that as a potential problem.....some of my trim does not fit just perfectly flat like it should due to either some slight kink in the trim or some acquired odd bulge in the car body. If you have those trim clips with a stud and nut on the back, you can crank the trim down tight and it will stay. (Like on my right front fender)
  13. Good idea, Mike. The info space seems a bit limited but anything is helpful.
  14. No, but I've wondered if some new type fasteners would work OK for our oldies. How difficult would the new ones be when you want to remove the stainless??? They go in real easy, but seems to me they are not so easy to remove.
  15. Probably the larger tire. Seems like I may have suggested a medium tan or brown type color for the wheels.....to give a little contrast.
  16. 9 degrees with leftover crunchy snow still on the ground in Joplin. It is between 35 and 40 degrees in the garage....so the Plym started fairly easily. Let it run for a little while.
  17. Oh yeah....I have some unbuilt models in the bottom file cabinet drawer in the garage. Then some more dust catchers on the other wall...... Part of my harmonica collection on next to top shelf. And these...... Some of Dad's model train engines I saved. Assorted train cars in other boxes behind this front one. H O gauge. A couple Plymouth pickups in that bunch. The old style service hat.....
  18. I believe John Mulders said he was thinking of yellow for his wheels. Heres and example of that color scheme.
  19. I don't think the kick panel had a maroon strip at the bottom....I think it was all a solid color.
  20. First of all, WELCOME!!!!! to all new members who have joined in on the forum. Always good to have some more thoughts and ideas. My suggestion (request, whatever) is that you put a little info about yourself and car in the information (profile) section. Especially your home town...as it comes up in the upper right hand corner each time you post. Helps me to remember where you live - and while not always crucial to know, I find it interesting. Just recently, two fellows have turned up who live close to me here in Joplin, MO. One even works right in town. And, of course, if you know how -- post a picture of your car or cars. If you don't know how, you can ask and various ones of us will be happy to direct you. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes real easy and rather fun. The info is not mandatory, just helpful.
  21. I asked the seller of those sonic wings if they could take any more pics from different angles.
  22. Looks pretty good. Guess I can hang it on the edge of this shelf for now.
