  1. Howdy all; I have not been around much since I sold my old beater P15 a couple years back. In cleaning up the garage I noticed I had a couple rims for the old beast laying around. I'd be happy to give them to someone if they were in need. the tires are shot, but the rims look fine. Anyhow, I'm in the Los Angeles area if anyone wants them. cheers mikemaker
  2. Very cool project. I would love to see progress pics. as it starts to all come together. I wish I had time for a project like that. Looks like a lot of fun. cheers
  3. So very sorry to hear about what you and your wife have been dealing with. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. mike
  4. Seems the meter is expired on the P15.
  5. CD player crammed in the glove box and a pair of 6x9's on the package shelf of the business coupe. Works well for me.
  6. Drive shaft boots can cause the type of vibration you are experiencing if they have distorted or if you are using the leather boots. This has happened to me in the past.
  7. I was changing my driver side headlight today and when I pulled off the headlight ring, my fender stainless ejected itself. Seems the clips rusted out and pretty much all that was holding it in place was the trim ring. They look to be pretty simple to fabricate if need be, has anyone done this, or can I get a good reference for where to locate clips for a reasonable price. I figure that once I get into the trim, I may have more to replace.
  8. Had that problem some years back. I do not recommend it, but me and normspeed solved that problem with a belt sander on the brake lining. Like I say, i don't recommend it, but as a last resort, we got the drum on and all was good, and still is.
  9. Bob T may want the skirts. He has first shot. Anyone else can send me a message if interested. They are not steel, they are fiberglass. Driving with the Fulton does impede visibility a bunch. It took me a few years, but I've gotten used to it. I may never sit up straight again. My wheel covers are off a 49 I believe. I have the originals in a box somewhere, I swapped them as I really like the way the 49's look and obviously I'm not a stickler for the originality of it.
  10. skirts are in the garage, wanna buy them? I dont really have any use for them. I would gladly part with them for cheap. Bob, I have not been playing any music lately, all my gear is packed away, no time for any of that since my girl was born. I figure, someday I get back to it, but no time soon, that's for sure. Glad to see that you are doing well and still playing.
  11. She photographs well, and I like her stance but she's a 20 footer at best. Got some rust issues on her butt and passenger side rocker panel I have to deal with thar am not looking forward to.
  12. Howdy guys; Here's a couple pics of my beater after a 3 year sentence in the driveway. She's back on the road to recovery.....I'm just happy to get her on the road again.
  13. 3 Years of sitting, things begin to rot. Had to replace the battery, bleed the brakes, clean up the contacts on all of the lights. Lube everything including throttle. Replace valve stems in a couple tires. All minor stuff and no big deal. The big drag is that it rained today and my wiper blades are shot so I could not drive the beater to work. Here are a couple pics of my girl tryin' to figure out the 3 point turnabout. She's getting there! I'll post some pics of the car once the rain stops in a couple days. It's pretty much looking the same as it has for the last 10 years, just a bit more beat up. I have a lot of work to do on it but I have VERY LITTLE spare time these days. Cheers
  14. Howdy all. The beater p15 has been parked for the last 3 or so years. Got married, had a baby girl. You know the story. Anyhow, fired it up yesterday, got it road ready and put insurance back on her. I'll be driving to work tomorrow in the beater. I was thinking about selling the beast, but after driving her yesterday, I think I fell in love with her all over again. I see lots old old friends are still on the board. That's cool. Cheers to all!
  15. Like David said. I did exactly that about 10 years back on the beater, cheers
