  2. From the album: Todd's Truck's

    1949 B1B, first truck I had in 1980
  3. From the album: Todd's Truck's

49' 1.5 ton camper I built and sold to Nueskes Meats
  4. I never knew greasing the leave springs them selves was necassary, I believe I learned something today. One more item on my to-do list this winter on my truck.
  5. I enjoy unique things but that truck was the first coe that I did not care for.
  6. My semi trailer would literaly bounce down the road because it had such stiff springs on it. I took a few out and replaced with a steel plate to make up the distance so my trailer rails remained parralel with the road. Works perfect. My semi rides extremely rough when I run bobtail but with the trailer on it is smooth as my new dodge dually. Radial tires helped alot on the ride, highly recommend.
  7. Make sure your pattern is an original. I had glass made from a piece that was a replacement glass. The one I copied was a little off and the the glass cutter made mine even more distorted. From now on I keep an old glass with the factory stamp in the corner as my patterns.
  8. My semi has been sitting outside until I can get my new shed done. It was 11 degrees this morning and I wanted to move it and it started right up. The only problems I have ever seen is when a battery is weak it will freeze and be junk.
  9. I have never owned anything bigger than a 2.5 ton. I assume the fenders and the hood are longer then the small and medium trucks.
  10. I am amazed how solid this truck is. In WI our trucks are usually rusted out on the doors and fenders. Great find. I don't want to be like an old high school girlfreind that would tell me how wonderful her body was and never let me past first base. But I have an original 5th wheel plate that would fit that truck perfectely. I am keeping it for some day I will the lottery and find a COE semi tractor.
  11. With all the excitement I forgot to say welcome!
  12. Very cool find, you will need that big engine to pull a trailer. You can't see me but I am green right now.
  13. Merle, the hoods from one era to the next have different bumpers and bumper locations
  14. Hank, Is it possible I seen that truck in a Menards store in Wisconsin about a year ago???
  15. Be prepared to start waving at a lot of strangers. The ones with a horn ring will understand what I mean.
  16. I cannot imagine the amount of power it takes to flatten an old frame of the car like that.
  17. Thanks for the comments, but my son is making the choices. He is the one writing the checks so I guess that gives him that right. The only thing he did that I disagreed with is he put an Auto trans behind the 327 small block. I would have kept the 4 speed.
