  1. as they age or lay about not used..they tend to seperate the liquid from the paste..the paste then becomes grainy..this is the cause for a lot of poor blends and as such extra bit of pin holes as the mix is actually unhardened pits of unmixed bondo snatched out by clogged sandpaper..not your best long life bondo patch..
  2. agree to disagree..the very ad you are defending is calling out the "inferior design" of the competitior...this was a scare tactic per say...when in actuality it should only have stated "install our kit with less invasive work by the installer due to the fact drilling and tapping is not a needed step"..no..he called himself out..sorry...and how many other times has a something gone kinda under the radar and the customer getting put aside until brought to the light such as this...no my friend..only now will this possibily get corrected..only now does it seem buyer two was "asked" for input that he offered upfront prior...I have no stake in any of this..but as a consumer...words speaks volumes...
  3. only thing I can think of Fred is that the original hardner may have started to seperate.
  4. I have brewed up some Tim Horton's thanks to Pat S and his generosity..the first pot washed down a Pumpkin roll....I know I should drink all this but I am holding it in reserve and brewing a pot just now and then...I must admit that I did not even look inthe background..I guess I was too busy laughing..
  5. take a lead off the battery and clip the test light inline..(if you have a circuit going to ground, it will light the lamp) go around disconnecting your accessories till you have the light go off...then you have found the active circuit..look close at drain areas like overhead light wiring, cigar lighters, clocks etc etc...and of course the one overlooked culprit that has more than one time caused problems..the voltage regulator...
  6. Sorry Fred...imagine two thugs in a car trying to elude the police while on ice..the wheel spinning car goes nowhere..now behind them are two police office in a squad car also on ice..wheels spinning going nowhere..siren blaring..lights flashing..one thugs gets out to push the car in hopes to get traction and speed away..to answer that threat, one police office get outs also to push the squad car so as not to be outrun... sorry but I found this just to dang funny...
  7. hence the word....MOST....!! keep the money...I will be passing through the boro again some day...maybe sooner than you think...
  8. it is the greed of the American companies for a higher profit margin that has got this country in the shape it is with foriegn trade and loss of jobs...I also get riled..but the poor guy overseas earning that lesser salary is only trying to feed his family..he cannot be faulted...
  9. [quote name= For some reason this year the stores had the displays up a few weeks before halloween!! what gives?? used to be after thanksgiving the displays would go up but it seems now everything is in a rush.[/quote] that my friend in the main reason for my attitute..they push the seasons and never let us enjoy the present one..as it is nothing but a time of high income sales to merchants..I do not take part...I say this because most all of you know I am NOT sending you a gift anyway.....lol
  10. maybe you ought to approach her with your sudden desire to help out planet earth by "going green" this year
  11. did they put stainless on the running boards...my top of the line 41 Dodge D19 T/S, last of the running board sedans for them did not have trim either...
  12. my choice of no..don't hang them anywhere is not on there....so I vote neutral I guess..
  13. I will stick with Charlie and his winning kit..first I have never heard of Charlie taking a pop shot at a customer or potential customer. I am really glad you came on this forum and demonstated your heavy handed business tactics..am sure lots of business will be coming your way...and not to slam you or your company, I am happy to hear that those who are having problems are getting answers and possible fixes worked into the kits from you and your company..Personally..I believe I would have started my comments with a thank you to all persons who have had problems and brought this to our attention in order that we may make it right and engineer a better more troublefree kit for our future customers...
  14. When I put up the Christmas lights few years ago, I put them to where no one could find them...
  15. That's great...I did not get a crop this year...enjoy them..we sure did while they lasted... many apolgies to Gale for not answering earlier..as it was my birthday, I am going to chalk it up to getting older...again, very sorry I failed to answer..
  16. Frankie..there are a number styles of peeps out there..short curved arms..straights.. drop 90's and long lightly bent models. Then you have the difference in the mirror glass itself, from very nice to tinted..I do not like the tint models myself..these degrade the reflection and when viewing the rear a glance is good a stare to define an object..not good..then size of the mirror head from 3 inch up to 5 inch..where 4 is most commmon and adequate on the average. Then when talking swan neck mirrors..you have the standard mopar with trim base that is stock for our cars..(big money if found) then you have after market generics here also..some are better than others..the better will have a mounting stud and a smaller not threaded position fixing stud to prevent rotation of the base. Again tint and mirror head size is an issue of concern. Then lastly but also useable are Lucas style medium length stud mount bases with 3.5 mirror heads of good clarity and also with a right hand mirror with correcting optics to view proper the rear..as these are readily available in aftermarket issue..they are esy to find and rather fairly priced. Selecting a mirror is NOT an easy job unless you are lucky to have all these on hand and someone to hold them in the selected position so to view first hand just what may or may not be best for your car and you. Then keep in mind that most all rear view mirrors for these cars for right side application is purely for cosmetic balance...be it all makes and model..I can attest that Ford, Hudson and Mopar fall in this catagory..sure some other makes do also but I rarely look at them at all....just not interested...
  17. one of the better device you can find is a auto bleeder to install on the compressor drain line...it does a quick blow for evey 10 pounds the compressor drops...so it sould blow at lest twice between cycle off and cycle back on...couple this with a good seperator and even an inline filter..you be good to go...I have a huge filter that is just after my compressor tank that will hold about 1/2 gallon of water..then as it comes into my building from out in the pump house some 30 odd feet it comes to a inline seperator, and a filter then to about three other outlets each with regualator and filter at each station..
  18. That was an excellent day...we need to do that again....Loumans blue and white is very easy on the eyes...
  19. I don't use inline oiler for the simple reason...I want control and never have to worry about what lines to plug a spray gun into...I do use WD40 in the paint guns after a major spray job and total teardown of the gun but only in and around the paint control valve (second stage of the trigger)..not the air inlet...
  20. a man after my own heart...I think I got burnt out on Christmas about 6 years back never to fully recover...
  21. Happy to know you got home safely and I repeat what I said earlier, great that you were able to stop by and as an added gesture of goodwill..deliver Don's raisin pie...and further..I hope that both you and Don found the pies eatable...that is the trouble with pies..got to slice them to test them.. I like getting out and about now and then but I always like when I get back home also...and the older I get..the more I like home...!! I did not make the rod run either, it was in my plans but with the bad weather that sat in here Friday morning thru Sunday, the big meal the evening before and family that did make it in..and then to find Charlie was under the weather..probably for the best I rermained home....
  22. a few drops of air tool oil into the inlet of the tool on daily use is sufficient
  23. by matching that of your original when you place the perches on the donor axle and weld in place. Let me go a bit further...I use an angle meter that is magnetic and affix it to the face of the input pinion with the car on the ground and static loaded..also be sure that the perch angle is checked at this point due to the age and wear on the leaves.....then when you have matched the angle of the pinion and perches...weld them in place..
  24. just an exercise to get your head close enough to kiss your ass goodbye...
