  1. Rig it up so you can crank it over (or even better, start 'er up) on the floor and watch to see where it comes from.
  2. So sorry to heat that. Elvis, my black Shepard (pictured). Had him for 12 1/2 years.
  3. Mavis Tires has a note printed in red ink that you need to return to their shop after you put 25 miles on your car after they install new tires so they can retorque the lugs. Their policy is that you cannot just torque them once and expect it it remain torqued, it must be retorqued after 25 miles. Needless to say, the mechanics just slam the wheels on and smash the lugs with the impact wrench in no particular order and lay on it for several seconds after full torque.
  4. Red. Everybody knows you use red paint.
  5. I think it's B. But that's just a guess.

  10. Maybe not this exact setup. It was for illustration mostly. but for crying out loud, if you can't make a jack and a couple pieces of 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 work on the side of the road you better do what Reg Evans does and make the call.

  13. A local club has a single cylinder diesel that was used to run an air compressor for the building of the Holland Tunnel, then it was used with a snow making machine at a ski resort, and then donated to the club. It took them several years to get it running again (in part because of the massive footings and mounting base for it) and it purrs like a kitten now. I believe the cylinder bore is around 15 inches or so and it shakes the ground when it runs. And the tunnel doesn't go to Holland, it links NYC and Jersey City, N.J.
  14. Easy, make it pretty. Red oak comes to mind for me. Then, keep a piece of 1/2 or 3/4 plywood, cut to fit the bed, leaning up againts the garage wall for when you want to haul something. That black liner stuff would not be on my horizon.
  15. Listen to the Real Story Behind 'Puff the Magic Dragon' BY Michele Debczak April 26, 2016 A song about the adventures of a magical dragon sounds innocent enough, but like many songs written in the '60s, "Puff the Magic Dragon" is regarded by many as a metaphor for drug use. Perhaps this video from Great Big Story will finally put those rumors to bed. According to the song's lyricist Lenny Lipton, the idea was inspired by Ogden Nash's children's poem "The Tale of Custard the Dragon." The same day he read the poem, Lipton went over to a friend's house and felt compelled to sit down in front of their typewriter and start writing. The poem he wrote would eventually be used as the lyrics for Peter, Paul and Mary's hit song. Both Leonard Lipton and lead singer Peter Yarrow have stated "Puff the Magic Dragon is not about drugs." ... He has also said of the song that it "never had any meaning other than the obvious one" and is about the "loss of innocence in children", and dismissed the suggestion of association with drugs as "sloppy research".
  16. The PCV Valve does 2 things; 1. Meter the amount of air flow from the crankcase to the intake. B. Closes off the passage way from the intake to the crankcase in the event of a backfire or afterfire. https://auto.howstuffworks.com/positive-crankcase-ventilation-system.htm
