Ouch. Sorry for your loss. My brother-in-law lost the tip of his index finger (to the first knuckle) that way. I don't think you can ever be too careful. It only takes an instant.

Whilst I have 4 'step-grandchildren' with my second wife, this morning at 2:48 am, little baby Vivian was born to my son and his girl friend and that's a first for me. I was there but didn't get any stats. All I know is she's healthy and has blonde hair. That's all that's important isn't it? Took them to the hospital at about 9pm on Monday. 30 hours. Whew.
