  1. I have been considering buying a pair of K&N filters for a couple of years now. So this morning I went to there web site and priced a pair of there part number RC-3710 which I believe would be the best fit for Carter B&B carburetors. I went all the way to the confirm order page and remorsefully closed the page and cancelled the order. I could not see paying over ninety bucks (cost of two filters with tax and shipping) for the privilege of using the K&N name. I then went to the Speedway Motors web page and did some searching. I found washable filters part number 91011014 (these should last a lifetime) that will fit into my existing setup at less than half the cost of the K&N filters. I should have them by late next week...
  2. What do you need in Celina Tim? I have friends in the area.
  3. [quote=greg g; anybody know the year???? Yes Greg, this is 2007.
  4. Tod; I am not a real engineer although (work wise) I am titled as a field engineer. My dad who was a lisenced professional engineer would take exception to my title as I do. I am a field mechanic. However, I had the opportunity to drive a train very near you when I visited California last month. Contact James Douglas for details and your chance to do the same.
  5. Nelson; Glad things are improving. Keep your MO-JO moving:D
  6. Mark; Where did you disappear to? You owe us all an explainin:confused:
  7. No cameras allowed. But if this picture displays this is what a cash bus looks like. If full of hundred dollar bills you would be looking at 52 million. Follow this link for more pictures. http://www.frbatlanta.org/atlantafed/visitors_center/tour/e1.cfm
  8. I can see 40 million from the desk I am sitting at but I just cant lay my hands on it.
  9. One horsepower worked for me:rolleyes: Best way to not disrupt the fluid drive is to not dissamble it. You can remove it without dissambely.
  10. You are going to hate yourself over this. It scores automatically, too. Take this advice ... be sure and think before you answer. I got 9 of the 11. http://www.mikescomputerinfo.com/inteltest.htm
  11. I like all wood when I can get it. Guess I am out for twelve. Let me know when I can get back in. Hope that did not put me at twenty four....
  12. Fred; Back atcha. Cash in on the way.
  13. What goes around comes around:rolleyes:
  14. Brad; The 4 bolts pictured below should not contact the head. Does your head have the internal by-pass provision? If so you may have the wrong backing plate for your water pump.
  15. I think what you are talking about is called jute. Possibly a hemp product. Should be available in some of the remote areas of California. Try rolling and smoking it and see what happens.
  16. Follow the link for more pictures. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v65/DonCoatney/Floor%20pan/
  17. James; Glad you dont need the shift handle as it would be difficult to send. I will send everything else. I do not need these parts returned. Half of them were sent to me from California originally. I would like a workable long block distributor if you run across one.
  18. Robin; Pictured is the paint I used. I first sandblasted my exhaust manifold the painted it. This paint lasted for 3 years and is now finally starting to show some rust.
  19. James; Let me know if you want all the stuff in the picture and I will send it.
  20. Will never forget my move from Fresno to Tennessee. Popped in a yank of chewing gum two miles after leaving the old house. Broke a tooth on the third chomp. Spit out the tooth and kept driving in the 70+ degree weather with the wife, dog, cat and me wearing shorts Had an uneventful trip until we hit the Arizona-New Mexico line. Suddenly we were in a blizzard. Drove another 50 or so miles and could no longer see. Pulled off at the first town we could find and looked for a motel. Found one and got the only room left on the 2nd floor. The only place to park was in the middle of a semi frozen lake in the motel parking lot. Course I wearing sandals. Waded through the below freezing lake 4 times to get the animals and necessary stuff to the room.
  21. I just heard from him and in his own words he is doing well after a valve job and a by-pass. He is resting at home and would like to read some e-mails. I do not have his e-mail address on this puter but his profile is listed as Nelsons Ply. Wish him well in his recovery.
  22. Tim; Thought you were going with blue dots. This is what I did for reflector replacement after looking at several options. I have sence converted to the new LED lights and like them a lot.
  23. Ed; Sounds like a fun time. I dont yet know where I will be the week after Tulsa. Have to check with my boss. I just got an e-mail from him in London. Ufortunately will not be able to connect with and get a ride in Robins vert this week.
