  1. Found a 3rd bolt under a gasket remnant that looked like a freeze plug. Now I'm fighting with snap rings.
  2. I called George. He said maybe he Permatexed it. I just tried another half hour of heat and violence. No separate.
  3. How do I separate the adapter plate from the OD? I have removed the 2 allen screws. Seems to be cemented. So far it has resisted my mild violence. I am trying to replace bearings. Seems to be the source of my vibration problem. Bob 317 359 6907 or 229 5652
  4. Original is 4.1, new one is 3.9. I will swap differentials, axles and drums today.
  5. OOPSIE, Both differentials have 11 bolts and appear to be interchangeable.
  6. I have a Mopar differential #1115941-17. I was told it was from a P-15, but it is not in the P-15 parts book. My differential (1121845) has 10 bolts. The 1115941-17 has 12 nuts with studs in the axle housing. Can anyone tell me if the rear ends are interchangeable? I have spent nearly $2000 since last August trying unsuccessfully to find a vibration. Email me at rvanbuskirk@netdirect.net. Thanks, Bob.
  7. We were in Colorado from August 10-14. Have to disassemble differential to find bad vibration. Rebuilt drive shaft did not help. Wheels shake violently when spun on jack stands. Is there a bearing part number somewhere on this website?
  8. Very interesting trip. We did a 3300 mile trip in the P-15 in August. To the Rockies including the now flood ravaged areas. Climbed several mountains, including Mt Evans.
  9. Has anyone dealt with a leaky exhaust manifold leak at the damper shaft? I do not care if the damper works, just want to quiet the exhaust. Bob
  10. My son, Brian is driving this to a Hudson meet in Gettysburg next week. His students did the brakes and engine in his Vocational Auto class. His Hudson club friends did the interior and exterior. It turned out nice. He drove us to dinner tonight. It runs like a good P-15. Has overdrive.
  11. Anybody going? We will join the group Wednesday morning. Bob
  12. is $35. We sent $115 total for membership and activities. These car clubs need the fees to put on the show. I am sure that no member profits from the fees. I would hope that everyone who attends is a member and not a gate crasher. 13. Could not have happened to two nicer people. Carmen has a warm glow of friendliness. It is good to know the both of you. Bob and Wanda
  14. My son Brian, vocational auto teacher and Chrysler automatic transmission man, went to Todd's last night and used a 9/16 tap as an easy out, to extract the plunger. Polished it. Problem fixed. Todd is happy. Bob
