  1. Wow.! most people are glade they missed me. Anyway I am sure we will run into each other at some point. Take care, Chet...
  2. Hay Greg & Mark, Thanks for the great time, Any pictures I could add would pale in comparison to the pictures posted. Greg the picture you took of me under the car truly caught the spirit of the trip for Melissa & me. There was nothing that wasn't fun. Don, You are right about the retirement part. We are just getting started. Maybe next time we can get you & the wife to cruise on by. Chet...
  3. I am no expert but after viewing your setup I would think that the spring load gas shock should provide the dampening support you may need. Are you running a stock engine or something more modern ? Chet...
  4. I booked my reservation arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. Probably just me, the wife will be watching the Lab. Chet...
  5. Hi Greg, Mark, et al, Finally unpacked enough boxes to get the 48 out for a first drive of the season. The car is running just fine. The way things are shaping up is that I might have to leave the wife at home. My daughter was going to watch our Labrador but recently adopted a hound dog that is a little nuts so with her two cats the hound and my lab the way things look is that we either both stay home or I come on the trip myself. I will know by the end of the week and hope to book a reservation by then. If the wife stays home then I will drive up from Delaware on Thursday. If she wants to come I will trailer the 48 to the Hotel. Also will need to register the car here in Delaware before making the Hotel reservation. Need to bring the car to the state inspection station this week. Who knows what lies ahead with that. Just an FYI because I have been out of touch lately. Chet...
  6. Good point Don, wiring should be 16 or no smaller than 18 gauge if using 12vdc as source. Of course this is a 12 vdc P15 because 6 vdc would explain everything. Greg I agree with your point about the switch. Also as suggested checking for additional unintended ckts is also a good thing to pursue. Chet...
  7. The bulb wattage is only one factor. Each connection in the circuit has the potential for resistance which will add to the total power drain. If the lights are bright and the 15A fuse works I would use it. Also if you are using duel filament bulbs each filament will add to the total power picture. Parking lights with break lights could double your power drain. Chet...
  8. Ah yes, Sgt Preston, you have brought back memories.
  9. Bob, Even your dog had the good sense to stay inside. BTW my wife wants me to get a hat like yours. I told her not unless it comes with a plow for the front of my truck. Needless to say no hat yet. Chet...
  10. A dusting in the Washington DC area. My sister is in Suffolk County on Long Island and she reported about 20 inches with only drifting snow at around 2:00 PM today. I think NYC was spared. I am sure the guys in the Boston Mass area got pummeled. Maybe Bob D. will post some pictures of the Catskills. Chet...
  11. Hi Bob, Mark, Greg, et al, Sounds like this could be a blast it looks like there is a lot of interest. I am happy to represent the Virginia crew even though by August I should be a full time Delawarean. My wife & I are looking forward to the event. Chet...
  12. Hi Greg, Happy New Year. Keep me in the loop if the car is running and the weather looks reasonable it sounds like a plan. Are you going to post this on the POC board ? Saving the date... Chet...
  13. Just peeked in and had to add my 2 cents. Joe, congratulations on getting the car out and about. My brother & sister-in-law came down for Thanksgiving and I was able to take them out for a drive on the Friday after. This was the first time I actually needed to use the heater and it really did the trick and then some. Hi Jason, Glad to hear that you are still having fun with the business coupe. Cheers, Chet...
  14. Sounds like a good time for all. I will have to check this out next year when I am living fulltime on the eastern shore. Chet...
  15. Don, I think Rodney was taking delivery on yet another car, and Joe was entertaining some visitors from across the pond. I think on a good day we could get 6 Northern Virginia Plymouth owners together in one place if the stars aligned with Jupiter and Taurus was in the seventh house. I am tired of being surrounded by multitudes of sixtyish Fords and Chevys. Everyone who came by had either a grandfather or father or some other family member who had either a 46,47,or 48 - 50 Plymouth. It was really amazing. One old dude nearly had a heart attack to see the first new car he bought for $675.00 back in the day looking just as good as that first day he drove it home. Actually it looked better. Chet...
