  1. First of all, thank you for the replies! @ Greg G: I changed a year or 2 ago the lights with new bulbs... difference was noticable, but it was still very dim... I'm quite sure my original electrical system works fine and is grounded decent. That is why I'm thinking to switch over to LED's... Nonetheless, highspeedmotors was indeed the shop I contacted without receiving answers... too bad, because I found out it was the only supplier for 6V positive ground LED's... @ Dennis_MN: I looked at the link you've sended, but they don't specify if it is positive or negative ground... @ MoparAl: please let me know indeed... (they were 6V positive ground??) UK is closer to Belgium as the US Cheers 'n greets
  2. Anyone knows if they are available? On ePay you find them... only for 12V. I know there is a company that sells LED "bulbs" for 6V... But when mailed, I never receive an answer... Is it because I live in Belgium? Who knows... Anyhow, I want to "upgrade" my taillights (and brakelight) for better visability during darker days.
  3. I did a lock-swap 1 1/2yr ago... I have to say that it was one of the easiest jobs to do... only loosening 1 screw/side... but remember to keep a long needle or long piece of stiff wire metal close by! You'll need it to guide the lock back in it's place! Without that,it's a nightmare... but believe me, as a mechanical noob, I thought this was a laugh! Maybe someone has the time to take his/her shopmanual ... to make a scan of that perticular page... (I would like to take mine, but a friend of me has it for the moment... mea culpa!)
  4. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533508 not too many Plymouths to be seen... but mine was there ;-) found at least 4 pictures on the net of my car. Have fun watching!
  5. Finally... the lowering job is done! +/- 4" in the back (thanks to the new leaf springs) and a 1 1/2 coil cut in the front. And a member of the club took the liberty to pinstripe it. I must say, I think the result is golden! See for yourself! (not yet attached are the fender skirts and hub caps...)
  6. And what about the gear shift lever stud? Some time ago I had that problem... the rubber was cracked and thus I had no possibilities to shift... (okay, I know you can shift between 1st and reverse...)
  7. for as far as I can see, and hear... the P15 body lines aren't the best for scallops... lesson learned :-D
  8. no seafood on my car, please Thanks BobT! I can't say I like those graphics on the cars... especially the flame job... it gives me the shivers!! Going to ask on the Hamb as well...
  9. Does anyone have (a) picture(s) of a P15 4door with scallops?? Trying to get an idea on how that looks... Greetz and cheers! =PlyPals=
  10. They are also listed on eBay... Last week I bought hood to fender bumpers there. Fast shipping and correct! Even to that far far away lil' country called Belgium ;-)
  11. Robin, thx for that info! they suit well on the car!! regards from a European neighbour (Belgium)
  12. My mechanic bought this car +/-5 yrs ago... I fell in love with it! I asked him a few weeks later if the car came up for sale... "nope... I bought it as a keeper... just needing time to go cruising!" was his answer... 3yr later... I went there for a problem with my Chebby Van (duh?!) and I saw the car standing in his garage. He asked me if I still was interested...'cause he still didn't found the time to enjoy cruising. After a small talk with my girlfriend I decided to buy it. I had the chance to buy it for a great price, because he knew he would see the car back again! (he still does the maintenance) Long story, short story: I've never had a mopar car before, but I loved the design... best buy EVER!
  13. very nice pictures... They are not raunchy at all... (my 2 cents) I like it...a lot! I also dig the fender skirt trims. (see,I really was paying attention to the car!) Are those original?
  14. great to see some roof racks! I always thought it was more of a VW accesory... I don't see them very often on full size cars (except station wagons or suburban-likes). just like the bugshields... Also a very common thingy on VW's... rarely seen on full size cars...
  15. I know... I know... The car looks a lil' too ratty for some of you... But the general idea for posting it was showing the roof rack... Were they originally MoPar made?? Or were those mostly aftermarket? I kinda like the look...
  16. "We shall never surrender...!" lol
  17. You also find nice vintage turn signal controllers on ebay... And with a bit of luck, you can find them cheap too! I know I did... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-KD-720-6-VOLT-TURN-SIGNAL-SWITCH-NEW-6V-32-FORD-ROD-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27abb15ee4QQitemZ170384252644QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Mercury-Hudson-Plymouth-Turn-Signal-Switch-6-volt-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem483c85c397QQitemZ310253044631QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VINTAGE-1950s-CAR-TRUCK-TURN-SIGNAL-SWITCH-AUTO-LAMP-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem230ac0b739QQitemZ150504257337QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YANKEE-960-TURN-SIGNAL-SWITCH-SCTA-VINTAGE-1932-FORD-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem43a2629c7aQQitemZ290487180410QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VINTAGE-ALLSTATE-TURN-SIGNAL-SWITCH-30s-40s-RAT-ROD-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4aa5703b38QQitemZ320603175736QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (some examples on ebay these days...) I had also my share of troubles with it... Had it discussing in another helpfull forum. http://www.oldplymouths.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=210 Maybe this can help you too...
  18. Tim, that would be awesome! It's for a 4 door sedan... Thanks in advance!!
  19. I've owned a workshop manual on CD-rom... but unfortunately, I've misplaced it... Is there someone on the forum that has a technical drawing of a P15 chassis? (or a good clean photo of the real thing...) And is willing to put in on here? I tried the search-function, but after a few hours, I was out of patience :-D (or was I that dumb to look with the wrong search-tags??) Thanks in advance! =PlyPals=
