  1. Thanks Dave, I'll look for remanufactured disc
  2. Can you substitute an different truck clutch disc with the same size and splines? If so, what year, model, engine truck? Thank you
  3. Thanks wayfarer, I think this answers my question & best to pull the whole thing and work on the engine while its out. Clean up the bay, maybe paint it black.
  4. Thank you for the info. Is it feasible to pull the bell housing with the engine in the truck and just support the engine? Or best to pull the engine out?
  5. Do you guys know if the floor shifted transmission from Chrysler or Plymouth 1948-1953 car will fit the T stamped truck engine?
  6. I have the original 218ci engine and bell housing bottom broke off. Do I need to remove the clutch to before removing the bell housing?
  7. I need some help finding a replacement bell housing and floor shifted transmission for 218ci straight 6 flathead, my engine code is T172-35539. 1)Will any 1948 - 1950 1951 6L 3 speed or 4 speed bell housing and transmission fit? 2) 1951-1955 Dodge 1/2 ton pick up bell housing & transmission fit my engine? Does anyone have one sitting around in the NC, SC, eastern GA? Let me know if you have these items. 3) How about 1948-1953 Chrysler or Plymouth cars with 6 cylinder flathead bell housing & transmission?
  8. Thank you both, I will move this to the truck forum. Once I figure out which one it is. Great to hear 51-53 may fit. I will be pulling the motor out, it will be easier to see it all and get the right bell housing an transmission.
