I used the vinyl that is used on the kick panel of cabinets or sometimes walls. They come in 4ft sections I think if I remember correctly. But if you flip the pcs over, they have small ribs, sort of like the original look. I cut to fit and for about $5, look great (in my opinion).

Took her out for her 1st cruise of the year also 1st time out since I lowered her last week. Everything checked out fantastic and getting out was even better!

Thanks for all the responses. To answer some, it broke when I was trying to remove the nut, so I could change out the shocks. I do not know if the air shocks (on when I got the car) put to much tension on that end over time, or if it was cross threaded before, or if it was just rusted on. But when I went to remove, it broke right off. I did find a replacement, that I hope will be here today on Amazon, it is actually a Monroe part #. Some of the "universal" ones I found were too small on the threads going into the axle mount. I was able to break it all free, and now just waiting on the new part to arrive. Thanks all!

As it gets close to time to take my 50 Coronet out of hibernation, I am going through the checklist of items. One item that in "my mind" I thought I have read somewhere, is that the brakes do not self adjust and need to be adjusted "so often". Car was braking fine in late fall, so is this something I need to adjust, and if so how often do I need to?

Where would be a good spot to tap into the 6V circuit on my 50 Dodge? Not an electrical guy and I do not want to tap into a wrong spot and cause any issues.

Well the project started in the winter, and carrying over to spring

As I am having an interior makeover this winter on my 50 Coronet. I thought I would share what was found when my headliner came out. Any info that you all would be able to add would be cool. I plan to frame it once I am all done.

I'm redoing my steering wheel this winter also. I have a Krylon Almond with Tri glass clear. I can post pics also when completed.

50 Coronet that I will he lowering 2 in. Stock replacement calls for Monroe 31000 or any brand similar. My question is do I need to find a 2in “shorter” shock, or will the 2 in drop not make a difference in shock choice?

Thanks JSabah for the pics. Still thinking someone has a color name that would match close to original. Thanks again for the pics.

Trying to find a current rattle can color to match my steering wheel. My wheel paint is either rubbed off or faded bad enough that I cant try and match. Has anyone repainted a wheel for a 50 Dodge Coronet that could send me a paint name that would match close to original. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to circle back and thank everyone for the assistance. Purchased a new sending unit, repaired the old section of wire and now have a perfect working system. Thanks again!
