    Frame Measurements

That helps very much. Thank you for taking the time to get the numbers for me. I greatly appreciate it.

    Frame Measurements

Does anyone have the frame measurements for a 1940 Plymouth 2 door and a 1946 Plymouth 4 door. Looking to see if the front frames are the same width to graft the good 46 front end on to the rusty front of the 40. Thanks for any help.
  3. So I have a 1940 2 door Special Deluxe. I found out that the front frame is very rusty. Specifically the front cross member and the front A arms where the springs sit. The holes in the front cross member are big enough to put your hand threw. The rest of the frame is in good shape. I have a line on a 1946 4 door Special deluxe. Going to look at it this weekend. It is a whole car minus the motor and trans with a clean title. My plan was to cut off the front end of the 46 and stub it to my 40. My question is are the 40 and 46 front ends the same? Does it matter if its a 2 door vs 4 door? Anything else I should be thinking about? This would be an "over the winter" project so I am in no hurry. Also thinking I could recoup some of the cost by selling parts off of the 46. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Never mind. I just saw the info about the new Classified system with the $5 charge. That is a Bummer Answered my own question.

I am looking at it right? It costs $5 to post a "wanted" add on this forum? I am new to the site (but not new to on line forums). I just have not seen this before. Didn't know if I was doing something wrong.

    Hello, I am new here

It looks like it could be the steering box. All the tie rod ends look good but when I move the front wheels left to right I can see a bit of play in the steering box. How can I adjust this? I will check on here for previous threads on the subject. Thanks

    Hello, I am new here

Nice looking car. No mods to the suspension that I can see. It's got a 10 bolt GM rear end in it. The front suspension looks to be all stock and it has a little play in the wheel. More than I would like actually. Any suggestions on a rebuild kit for the front end?

    Hello, I am new here

that is a great looking car and it looks to be pretty solid. I would love to find a set of the bars that go on top of the front bumper. Those look pretty cool.

    Hello, I am new here

Drive it as it is. I am putting a new starter in it this week and need to get a fuel gauge hooked up and we will see what else I do to it from there. It runs great and I kinda like the Pitina the way it is.

    Hello, I am new here

Thanks. I like the 4 doors with the suicide rear doors. Nice car. That's what I was looking for but came across the 2 door so went with that.

    Hello, I am new here

Thanks, You are just down the road a bit. Its got a SBC 350 in it with a TH350 trans. From what I can tell it was a nice hot rod back in the 80's/90's maybe. Got a lot of pin stripping on the paint and the interior was redone at some point then it looks like it was let out in the hot sun for a bunch of years. LOL
