  1. Wow who would have known...wonder where LAX mothballed theirs Thanks once again the fabulous flathed appears somewhere you'd not expect it to be, Hank
  2. Beautiful Yeelllowww Wreker ! Who's is it ? Hank
  3. When a vechicle is converted from 6V pos., do you convert it to 12V pos.? My truck is is six volt but..???.. SOMEONE .???..toasted a perfectly good starter during the engine irebuild/nstall. The excuse was that I needed a ground strap from the engine to the frame. Does this have anything to do with anything ? Hank
  4. ^ (ouch...) ^ hank Use your truck, hANK
  5. I have a couple of them myself and actually they were a find from "Istanbul Turkey" (the furthest sourced part with the exception of my Hand Crank from Davin in Australia) they have the "original" FLD, ARM, BAT stamped into the housing...nice... (oh god I'm starting to sound like Mark...) help ! Hank
  6. It's patience technique, muscle and even pressure from helpers. A Clothesline rope, a spray bottle with a soapy solution and whatever other slippery stuff will help. I can't remember if the curved back windows are better installed from the inside or outside of the cab. Anyone have an opinion on this ? Good luck, you'll get it, Hank (is that the "nervous" icon ?) P.S. $125 per piece is way over the top in my opinion. $125 iwill pay for at least 2 pieces of any of the flat glass to be duplicated maybe 4 pairs of wing windows ? I could see both curved windows for $125.
  7. Where did you find it and how much did it cost ? Thanks, Hank
  8. Jacks are one thing, but I guess either because my mom told me it is not polite to ask or i'm just afraid to ask guys with one arm how it happened...and it seems everybody's heard a story about someones father being killed by a car falling on them and because I would not like to be under my truck during an eathquake in California....I'm in to redundancy for safety's sake (in other words I'm buk buk buk...I'm chicken). Jack stands are o.k. but a combination of wood blocks 6x10 large and 2x4 small is what makes me feel safe. (especially with one of those 2 ton made in China jacks... Merle). I do like the idea of a screw-type mechanism in lieu of my bottle jack. and carry a 3 piece wood block road kit behind my truck seat. Hank
  9. My 230 runs fine on 6 volts. Its all about the gauge of the wire and how clean the connections are. Hank
  10. O.k. then it's my understanding that it's a complete tear down and rebuild or it's the JB Weld choice...If ever there was an easy choice..for me to try this is it. Best of luck with whatever you decide, Hank
  11. Too darn dependable if you ask me. Gorgeous!, Hank
  12. Davin although we live on opposite sides of the globe, both our trucks are subject to strong sunlight. Not like Mark who needs the snow melted out of the bed for 9 months out of the year. Hank
  13. A resourcefull guy for sure..so we are talking about boats? Pretty Grey Marine had Mopar Flatheads weren't they used in those beautiful Chris Craft speedboat hulls back in the day ? Hank
  14. In theory... but not the same as sliding a factory edge square piece just below the lip of the track attached to the bedsides. Hank P.S. Mark I'm Pm'ing you
  15. o.k...tug what,,tug boat..never heard of a tug truck.. are we talking about a tow truck...what...I'm confused hank
  16. Barry, It sure looks like a top quality build. Many more miles, Hank P.S. Davin says I need to suck it up an get my hubcaps on. We don't have any grassy fields and dirt roads here and I hate the sound of a hub cab rolling along side a running vehicle. I want to first test the the hub cab holding ability of each wheel while its off the truck and get used to removing/replacing my hub caps without scratching everything up.. When you assemble your bed, I recommend that you have an uncut 4x8 sheet of 1/2" plywood. to slip into the bed to assure it is square as you finalize the assembly. You'll be amazed at how well our little trucks stack plywood compared to newer model trucks.
  17. What planet are they from ? The windshield is a pice of cake if you know the clothlesline rope trick. The corner windows that's a different story. Hank
  18. Something Mopar not a 350 Chevy Keep it in the family, Hank
  19. Assume it's the same hairdresser as "the Donalds" by the looks of it. Imagine having all that money and you still go to SuperCuts. Go figure, Hank
