  1. I know this is a long shot but...... I need a right rear quarter window or complete assembly that will fit my 1940 Windsor. The latch rotted off of mine many years ago. Thanks
  2. Also cured the sticky centrifical advance, replaced the vacuum advance and set initial timing at 4btc (was 0). Sometimes I forget the basics! Runs cooler, more power and no boiling fuel
  3. Since I installed the heat shield and improved cooling air flow, I am no longer having the issue. Thanks for all the info
  4. Have been having an issue with fuel boiling in the carburetor with heat soak after shut down. 1940 Chrysler Windsor. I removed lower pans from either side of the motor to improve air flow, and installed a heat shield between manifolds and carburetor. So far, so good
  5. Looks like I will be needing some radiator help too. 167 at the top and 157 at the bottom not much cooling going on there
  6. deception pass sent me theirs. Nothing but the cross in the box. no needles, cups or anything else
  7. Looking for a rear u-joint for my c-25 (mechanics cross style) Looks like my only hope is going to be a spare that one of you might have acquired over the years as they are quite obsolete thanks
  8. I bought a 47 ford pickup last year. P.O. had replaced a bearing in the steering box. Steered extremely stiff. Found out he forgot to put oil in it nope, filled it with power punch, set up the clearance, no leaks, steers ok. Don’t think the P.O. drove it much
  9. I bought a 47 ford pickup last year. P.O. had replaced a bearing in the steering box. Steered extremely stiff. Found out he forgot to put oil in it
  10. I tried Evans in my 1961 Mercedes. Pooped a freeze plug right out of the block after years of never having any kind of problems with 50/50 antifreeze and water. end of experiment I still have a gallon if anybody wants it (free)
  11. George Asche would be the one to ask. He just built me a R-10 and has my old R-7. 814-354-2621
