  1. Congrats Bob.... Hope granpa and grandma can spoil her rotten.....
  2. Hi, I was just wondering what your favorite picture is of your car.... lets see how they look dressed up in all their finery of the season... Allan
  3. Just don't let Pete see that last pic.... geez, you goin zero while he's goin full speed at Bonneville..... hope it ain't premonition of the BIG RACE (Had to mention it, since it seemed to have "lagged" from the old forum). Allan
  4. $12.79 new at Amazon.com..... for the auto trim book... want to buy that one myself.... Allan
  5. Another pic... with speakers installed. Allan
  6. Bob, Why don't you make your own out of coroplast? A full sheet would cost about 10 bucks, you'd put your old cardboard over the top, cut out the pattern, and use 3M super 77 or super 80 to glue your material over the top. Then take some 3M Dual Lock tape (a "velcro" like design that is quite a bit stronger) and put the panels in their place......
  7. Looking good Joe, got any more pics of the floor supports, rockers, and floor that you could post or PM or send me via email? (I've got a vested interest in this subject). Allan
  8. If you look through it, I think you may see one of the forum member's cars.... I just pm'ed him to be sure (and I'll scan the pic soon), but I think our buddy Fred Maarse just got ink...... Allan
  9. Once I'm finished building mine, it ain't gonna be no trailer queen.... I didn't buy it for the value, I bought it for the rebuild and the drive..... Allan
  10. The only dumb question is the one not asked, because noone here can give you the answer to that one...... And in Canada, you cant get your build record... unless you find it in the garbage can that the chrysler employees called your car..... Allan
  11. Verification..... Water has the best overall qualities of a liquid, especially being the "universal solvent" it'll meld with anything, however, it will corrode things(because of oxygen dissloved in it) and will freeze when below 0 C or boil at 100 C (32 and 212 I believe for you imps) as well as transfer bacteria and fungus.... it also contains minerals that can precipitate out and block the passageways of your radiatorCoolant is highly "viscous" meaning thick and slows down flow rate (which allows for better heat transfer), lowers the freezing point and raises the boiling point of water, prevents the bacteria and fungi from "evolving", removes the "corrosion" factor of water, and doesn't allow the minerals in the water to precipitate... So when looking at it, it does change its "cooling capacity" as such, however, it is in essence a "new chemical" not water, nor coolant.... Hope this confirms the verification... Allan
  12. Merle, I mention Celcius all the time, but try and post degrees F on US based sites if I can, because I grew up in the metric age and cant tell ya whats hot or cold in Farenheit, but I do know that -40 in both scales is dang cold.... Allan
  13. Norm, Weve been on the picket line since we were locked out on Nov 24th 2005.... with no end in sight at the moment....hopefully something will happen soon... its getting edgy up here.... Allan
  14. Ok, pulled open everything today, and finally, the problem is not bad at all.... no "tranny" problem, just a shifter problem... the sleeve that my shifter uses to screw onto the tranny is broken.... so temporarily we lowered the locknut on the tranny, and screwed the sleeve down 3 or 4 threads more so that it'll hold in place until I can get a new shifter.... Allan
  15. Darnit Tim, u already got 2 wives.... leave some for us younguns.... Allan
  16. Thanx Don for the info... its printed out, and when I have a chance to open the sucker up, I will.... let you know the details once its all said and done... Allan
  17. Oh geez, looking in the shop manual, it only gives the pic of the "shift tower" for my NV-1500... and it states, do not open it, internal parts are not available... and I could void the warranty...... oh well.... since I got no warranty, think I can do it??? Anyone know where I could find parts for it? Looked on the bay, couldn't find anything and NAPA part numbers in the US won't help (because us Canajuns use a different system....must me more efficient.... which is why we can't find nothing on their site)..... Allan
  18. I have reason to believe you are right greg... it is in the shift tower somewhere.... because shifting gears right now is light having a spring in your hands rather than a stick, because it squishes back and forth.... I'm wondering if the installation of my remote starter has something to do with this, because at around the same time, the remote starter has been having probs as well, and I know that the shift lever/brake/ignition are all tied into this at the same time..... Don, thx for the pics.... I'm gonna have to look for parts and get the console/boot out of the way to really check things out... I don't want to drive too long with it this way... Allan
  19. Hi, Today I had a weird problem with my S-10 daily driver, and maybe someone knows what it is before I start pulling parts.... My stick shift is limp (please no puns, I can see em coming....). I can still shift through all gears, but it seems like nothing is holding on to the stick.... I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem before with a standard.... Allan
  20. Thanx Norm, I'll try working on it in the near future and see what gives.... Allan
  21. Well Norm, thats the type of 0.02 cents worth I'm talking about... I just want to make sure that I finish with something that works.... can't complain about the price I got on the MC... As for the rubber that's on there, is it replaceable? Any other 2 cents worth out there? Allan
  22. And here in NW Quebec, its been -15 to -20 C.... and I got to spend it out on a picket line.... Allan
