  1. I have a 42 WC15. The flathead in it is tired and I have been unsuccessful finding a shop near me to rebuild it. I have been hunting for a rebuilt or good running engine as well with no success. Which has me looking at different engines to transplant. Would the 4.0L out of a Jeep be a good fit for these pickups? I believe they are a little bit longer. I have Tig,stick and mig welders as well as a mill so making mounts etc. are well within my garages range. Wanted to see what your opinions were.
  2. I am looking to buy a 230 engine block to then have rebuilt. What is a realistic price for an engine that needs to be rebuilt? Missing the head.
  3. Hello, I have a couple starters and am wondering what the correct spline number on the starter for a 146 tooth ring gear. Thank you for your help. Finally finished requiring truck. Going to be driving it this spring. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thank you for your help. I had a few of these linkages and couldn’t seem to figure out which one came with the truck. Got it in and installed now though.
  5. I am wondering if someone can send a picture of how their linkage is connected to the bell housing on a 1939-1947 truck. Mine is hitting the sheet metal when I am trying to bolt it in. The rod for the gas pedal seems like it isn’t located correctly
  6. Does anyone have the part numbers to rebuild the rear drum brakes on 39-47 dodge 1/2 ton? I have checked a few places and have not come up with anything.
  7. Hello, I converted my front brakes to disc brake using Rusty hopes kit. Worked awesome and looks a lot better. I am going to freshen the rear end now on my 1942 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup. I am trying to see if anyone has numbers for the parts for the rear drum brake. I have checked Napa and jegs/summit with no luck.
  8. I have searched and can’t seem to find the dimensions for the wood crossmembers and the wood flooring for a 1939-1947 1/2 ton dodge truck. I found info for the pilot house but was unsure if those dimension held true for the earlier pickups as well.
  9. Is there a list somewhere on what options we have for shocks? 1939-1947 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup. I tried searching and could not find a thread. If someone has numbers of replacement shocks that gave them a good ride that would be appreciated. I am getting close to starting the pickup up and just getting brakes and shocks buttoned up now.
  10. I need a replacement wire harness. I found one for $750. Wondering if anyone has found a better deal on one and what a good rout to go would be. I have a 1942 Dodge WC I am restoring.
  11. I am from Cedar falls Iowa. 50613. I should get my block back tomorrow to see size of crack
  12. I have a 1942 Dodge truck I am working on. I sent the block to the machine shop and they found a crack. I am wondering what engine swaps people have done. I am currently liking for another block but might end up swapping engines.
