  1. Everything I have read says the 48 Plymouth can standard with 15 inch tires. So when restoring the car I put 15 inch rims back on the car, now using a speedometer app on my phone I find that the speedometer has to register 80 miles to actually be going 60 miles. I can't believe that the drive gear in the transmission would make that much of a difference. I would really like to get it to register closer to the actual speed. Any ideas on how to fix or any adjustments in the speedo head that would help correct the problem. Thanks
  2. Thanks I never thought of that makes total sense.
  3. I am running duals and am using the factory fuel pump, I also have installed a electric pump to help in starting the car after it sits for awhile. The car however runs on the mechanical pump
  4. Does any one know if the hood length for the Plymouth P 15 changed over the 3 years of production. I am redoing my 48 Special Deluxe and with the hood pushed back as far as it can go on the cowl, there is a 3/4 inch vertical gap between the hood nose and the fender on both sides. I am pretty sure the car was hit on the right side front and am wondering if the hood was damaged and replaced with a incorrect hood. Thanks Tony
  5. Correction relief value has cone facing push rod sorry
  6. I have just rebuilt my mc on my 48 Plymouth. All wc are good when you apply brakes very large stream comes out of relief port. No matter how much I bleed do not get a firm break peddle. Relief valve was put into mc cone facing away from push rod, I believe that is correct. I am at a loss as to what is going on. I have dual ports coming off the mc front rear. Any ideas. Inside looked good when rebuilding thanks
