  4. Well the Mississippi River is there for a reason and there is always those that say we have a left coast and a RIGHT coast...and that western coast some day folks will ask what became of it.. and the answer will still be correct to say it LEFT

  6. Okay this is too cool. Went on vacation in the U.P. MI on Round Lake this week end where my dad use to go when he was young. Great grandfather had a cabin that now my dad's uncle owns. My great Aunt showed me a picture of my great grandmothers plymouth. The picture was in Graford TX and the girl is my great Aunt. picture is black and white but she says it was charlotte ivory. I know its four door and mine is a two door, but I'm starting to believe the car (and the color) picked me rather than me picking it.

  8. Two of us spent four days replacing the '56 Power Wagon 230 that was in my D-24 Business Coupe, with a '90 DeVal 265. My DeVal is a brand new, never-run U.S. Navy JG-75 aircraft tug QEC power-plant. It is a Chrysler Industrial IND-32 clone. The block was cast on 6-19-90! I purchased the car during '12, converted the driveline (to a T-5 transmission and a '65 B-body 8.75 axle) during '13, and finally replaced the engine on 7-19. There's still more to be done!

  9. Looks the rod on the damaged piston may have been the source of your problem????

  10. Well back in the day, lots folks would only repair the one piston involved, botton it back up and keep on Motoring.

  11. At times like that, I'm sure happy with my IR impact and 165psi shop air! If that's not available, I'd use a good s 3/4"drive six point socket, breaker bar and 4lb hammer. My 1/2" stuff flexes too much.

  14. I've had no problems at all with the set I have on the rear of my 47 Dodge. Went on with no problems at all.

  15. I can appreciate the talent and work that went into it but I don't care for it at all. It's looks like someone just decided to do a bunch of random mods without even thinking if they fit the truck . PS , I think that rear window looks hideous on it ?. Just not my cup of tea, coffee .... etc . John

  17. Like I said if I saw it at a car show I’d trash it but if I met the owner there’s a good chance their enthusiasm would be infectious. I don’t see a lot of dodge trucks around (plenty of ‘rams’) not even 80s fleetsides so when I see even a little red or a warlock I get excited. This truck is a little mind blowing- mostly that it’s for sale. I’m guessing it will be for sale for a looong time but you never know. I would offer hundreds of dollars to own it ?

  18. documenting your work on any modification will go a long way for next owner to be able to identify and maintain in the future what work you did as the source of the material will be known. It is imperative for any owner making such mods to document this. I have only sold a couple modified vehicles and in the glove box was a book describing all parts used and what donor vehicle they came from. Wiring changes were also included. Beside.....it may not be the next owner that is needs this, as time passes the repairs and processes seem to fade a bit and a good reminder on paper of what we did will even help ourselves.

  19. My old lady is a keeper too. Never gives me a hard time on money spent. Always pestering me to go for a ride in one of the vehicles. She doesn't like to get dirty, but helps out when I need a hand.

  20. 6-29: On the way home I let my daughter drive. She's 13. She did surprisingly well and kept the car at about 45mph. I helped her shift to get us going, and sat next to her just in case we needed an emergency stop or steer. This was the second time she has driven the Meadowbrook. ?

  21. 6-29-19: The kids and I took a cruise on the highway tonight. We stopped at the car wash first, then on to Amish Ovens (truck stop owned by a friend) for gas and snacks. It was super hot and muggy today, but the cowl vent did a nice job.?
