  1. HI, I've just found this forum whilst looking for information regarding my latest acquisition, a 1940 Chrysler Royal 6 Passenger Coupe. The car has been modified a fair bit by the previous owner who was well on the journey to Street Rod status but sadly funds dried up for him. The car has a rebuilt 318 Poly with a Tri Power manifold backed up by a 727 Torqueflite Automatic trans. An independent front suspension has been installed and disc brakes all round. Loads more work has been done but I will run a separate thread on that one. I'm 38 years of age and had a fair few Mopars over the years although currently keeping the 40 company are my very first car which is an Australian Built 1970 Valiant Pacer sedan which I have owned for over 21 years, a 1934 Chrysler Airflow (project car) along with a 1966 Burton wooden ski boat which I have restored and is powered by a 230 Cubic Inch Dodge Sidevalve with twin carbs on it. Looking forward to having a poke around here and gain some more knowledge before I go too much further with the 40. I have thrown a couple of photos up of my cars, the 40 as purchased and of the other toys.

  4. Incredible. I am studying your new floor panels. My Suburban needs a new floor. I'm very thankful for my new shop, but sure do like the space you have and the lift. I'm too old to do another vehicle, but if I did, I would have a lift, then remove it if in the way for future use of the shop. TKS for all the incredible pictures. PS I want to know when you and 48 Dodger line up! The road in the front of Tims property would do fine. Great BBQ event!

  5. First ride of 2019! It is unusually warm today in Massachusetts, 52 deg. and heavy rain last night washed the salt off of the roads; so i woke up the Dodge and took a short ride. great way to start the New Year.

  6. Happy New Year to all. Did anyone else go to bed at their regular time like we did at my house? I'm so "over" going out on New Year's Eve; just not entertaining to me like it once was, "back in the day". LOL ?

  7. don't let the state in which I live confuse you on my culinary skills...even crawdads are worthless and should never be consider in any means seafood as they do not come from the ocean...they sewer crawlers at best.....I will let the rest of the world fight over them.... as for possum, squirrel, armadillo, most all deer, dogs, cats, hogs frogs and snakes....I feel these are found on the road dead for a reason...to feed the buzzards.....you mess with my frogs, toads, lizards, birds and turtles and yes most snakes at my house...we gonna fight....I will never run over a copperhead, cottonmouth or rattler on the highway...they are not in my yard, they are not a threat to me or anyone else for that matter....... and on an upbeat side.....the meal was delicious.....plenty of food left over.....I cannot believe I had half the crab legs left for later.....sitting back...cup of coffee, waiting for the midnight hour....

  8. never leave a bearing fit to guess....always check using the plasti-gauge....some of the cheapest insurance you will invest into...you got this, regardless of the undercut, the matching thicker bearing shells are supposed to put you within factory specs.....and if you get that..you be golden for fit..

  12. Not so many bolts to take out as last person to work on this welds the fenders in place. I had to cut the welds out. Also had to cut a few stubbern bolts.
