Two of the early voting locations in my county are within spittin' distance of some of the finest smoked bbq in the state... So I did my duty and rewarded myself with a half chicken2 points

Left, right or in the middle it doesn't matter if you don't vote! It is also a way to honor our veterans for their service to protect this precious right. And yes I voted a week ago!1 point

Yes, rear bumpers and spare tires were options until the 70's. They were either dealer installed or aftermarket installed. There were a bunch of after market bumper designs for sale in those days.1 point

My first thought looking at the bumper, looked like it was a front bumper that was installed in the rear. I do not know what the factory rear bumper is suppose to look like on your trucks. I wonder if rear bumpers were also a option to order, like the heater or radio. And who installed them if they were.1 point

Get her off the jacks and on the road and see what happens...Maybe wear the shoes in where there is hand drag. Better yet put on front disc.1 point

I did a 30 Chrysler and as I recall it had lock nuts....much more difficult to do than the newer 40's 50's style. Use patience and check.. re-check clearance.1 point

So its been pretty crazy at work this week and I haven't had time to do much with the car - except order parts. I picked up a Lokar emergency brake cable set - everything from the brake handle all the way to the lever arms on the rear Chrysler drums. It looks mostly painless to install, and I should never have to worry about the e-brake cable ever again. Hopefully I get to that over Sunday. I also pulled a set of headlights out that I have had sitting here. They are 7" round lights with H4 bulbs installed - and a daytime running light halo with amber turn signal switchback capability. I figure as blind as everyone is on the road these days - DRLs are almost getting to be a necessity (and they do help with visibility). The built in turn signal function could take care of my front turn signal dilema - but I also feel that I should swap out the parking light bases and bulbs for some dual filament jobs to further improve visibility. If this link works its a quick video demonstrating the DRL and turn signal switchback capability: CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO1 point

Mick, my info indicates that the hanging pedals and hooded headlights make it a 56 also, the 53/54 Plymouth body was used basically as the basis for the Royals which were made up to 1962, the Royal Wayfarer Utes didn't come till the AP2 which was 1959 so maybe the Plymouth Ute was on the market till 57 or 58 even tho' its a 56 model..........BTW I used to work in St Marys, at the CES which was in Queen St, we lived in Springwood 1981 to 1992 then moved to Grafton........got a pic?..............also the car side of the Forum would be interested in seeing it also...........if you need info email me at scaleautomobilia@hotkey.net.au or phone 02 66 425963 anytime............regards, Andy Douglas1 point

The local county's registrar of voters website shows that they received my completed ballot at 10:32:38 AM on 10/17/2018. Here in California they stopped calling them "absentee ballots" (which used to have all sorts of hurdles like proving you were going to be out of state on election day) and they are now simply mail in or ballots by mail and are available to everyone. I don't understand why everyone doesn't select that method of voting. Quick, easy, do it in your own house, no need to take time off work, etc.1 point

Kinda makes a good argument for keeping it original. Plenty of half-baked trucks out there you could hot-rod in the future.... 48D1 point

Could also be a 237 with a 4.25” stroke. I had never heard of a 237 until I checked the stroke on mine using a piece af brazing rod. TDC to BDC will give you an accurate reading on #6.1 point
