  1. Hey gang, I just joined this forum. I am excited to take part. I have been looking for an old truck for years and never found the right one, until now. I have purchased what is listed as a 1950 D100. My understanding is: the D100 did not come along until later. Does anyone have a book showing the VIN 86008516? If so, would you please post the make/model. If it helps to ID the truck, below is the listing. Thanks again. I look forward to getting to know some of you. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1950-Dodge-Other-Pickups/182797733210?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

  2. Suggest you take a look at the Diamondback Tires website. I bought tires from them for my P15. You can specify the whitewall width you want, since they attach the whitewall to the tires. I don't recall what the price was, except that they were cheaper than Coker. I've been very happy with mine, and they've been on the car for about 6 years now. (Mine are 3" wide)

  3. Rain x works great if you start out with a very clean wind shield and follow the instructions to the letter.....why not hook a vacuum canister up inline between the engine and your wipers to boost vacuum? They really suck.........lol.

  4. There is no progress in here, only driving, 5000km and no problems. That is pretty good for a car that's been in a barn for a 19 years. No its time to rest this winter.

  8. Lol... No. My Mom was let loose on her own on motorcycle once. I think I was 3 years old. It was 1974. Family vacation. Mom's so gung-ho to try anything, she was like "I love motorcycles! I'll rent one!". First time ever. She nailed a telephone pole. Lol. She was not going too fast. Nobody was hurt. Mom was in her 20's. Bike was damaged. It was probably more like a scooter. I was too young to remember the details, but every year over turkey Dad would re-tell the story and near piss himself laughing... Good times. So Mom was happy to double on the back of my harley any time. I could call her up at 3 am, wake her up and say, "I'll be there to pick you up in 10 mins". Mom would be ready with a grin. Let's go!

  10. Oh Mom's been on my Harley DJ. She's always up to try anything. I let the Harley go after I fell in love with those early car curves. Took me a minute, but I found it... Derailing my own thread here. It's not Mopar. However it was a stepping stone on my way to my Chrysler.

  11. I am thinking that due to the tail light shape and location that this car is a Canadian built 1939 Pontiac. I think that the lights were different on the US built models that year. John R http://www.collectorcarads.com/Pontiac-Chieftain/40562

  12. Then, about 2 miles from home the Meadowbrook started to sputter. My heart jumped a bit thinking I have a new problem on my hands and we are going to be stranded. Turns out I was right about being stranded! Of all things I ran it out of gas! My guage is on the fritz again, but I always log my fill-ups on my phone with the mileage, etc. I read it wrong before we drove to church. Thought I had only 100 miles on the tank, but it was actually 200 miles. Good thing was that we were close to home, it was sunny and warm (after having 4+ inches of rain the last three days) and one of our neighbors picked us up after we had walked less than half a mile. Wifey and I went back into town with one of our other cars to get some gas. The Meadowbrook fired right up after I put a couple gallons in the tank. From now on I'm taking one of my spill-proof cans with in the trunk. Either that or I need to learn how to add LOL. Reminded me of back in the 70s my old man used to run out of gas all the damn time. We even ran out of gas on our pontoon one time in the middle of a lake. Luckily we had paddles with!

  14. Well, it made it home! I took our yard truck and trailer to pick it up. Loading it was a breeze, I used the knuckle boom on the truck to pull it up on the trailer. The truck definitely has its fair share of rust, but it's definitely not too far gone. I decoded the serial number and it's a 1952. It's a B3JM161. I'll post more pictures this weekend of it. I'm just happy I finally have it!
