  1. Here are a couple of pictures of Dolly Dodge this weekend. We made a grocery store run, off to the feed store, and some other chores. I haven't had any more locking brake issues since replacing the front brake rubber hoses. She seems to be good and gold these days.

  2. Last one I took a photo of - another "I wish I had won the Powerball" car. Running and driving complete car, barn find, with leather still on the seats. The owner wasn't around, so I couldn't get a price or phone number. Anyhow, it was getting lots of attention. Not as clean as the Dodge, but I thought it damned amazing that it sat in someone's barn/shed and was only recently found.

  3. 1926 Dodge, barn find. Runs & Drives! The midnight blue paint would still shine when I rubbed it - only missing the old vinyl roof and the radiator cap. The seats still had their leather... $7,500 (or $9,500 - hard to tell on the windshield). Really made me wish I had won the Powerball.

  4. Great meet - 50 degress and shunshine, took about 6 hrs to walk the place. Mostly Ford & Chevy stuff, but some interesting Mopars - here's the first. This panel truck had no dents other than those on the grill and NO rust - asking $5,000.

  5. This and a 55 Dodge big-window (pretty sure it was a 55) were the only true Dodge pickups I saw at the meet. This 50 had a solid body, factory rear bumper, all 4 hubcaps, no bed-wood and judging from the lichens and moss growing on it, it was a pasture find. No interior, no major rust, fluid drive, needs a full rebuild. The grill only had a few minor dings. The 55 was so rough I did not take a photo. This one you can read the phone number on. Asking $2,000.

  6. Got the center section all welded in and ground down. Some dolly work and on to the sides! At this rate in May I'll have the floor and firewall done too! Here's hoping!

  7. I think you're ready to drive it to California buddy. I'll buy the gas for the first 500 miles. Deal? 48D

  8. Hi Justin, Sorry, I don't know about the Dodge wheel, but I know a Chrysler wheel will fit. I picked up a '50 or '51 Chrysler wheel at Carlisle for $50. a couple of years ago. I had to use the Chrysler horn ring because of the angle of the wheel spokes. Anyway, if the Dodge wheel doesn't work out, maybe you could find a Chrysler wheel. Dean

  9. Thanks. You did a nice job. Whats the name of the color you painted it? I like it. Thanks for the heads up. I bought 4 exhaust manifold nuts from AMS Obsolete on ebay.

  10. That looks pretty good! If you slung it under the frame, could the fuel fill come out behind the license plate? Of course, if going for the rat look, sticking through the wood floor in the bed is perfectly acceptable too!

  11. Glad to see it coming together. Even if it's slowly, it's progress!

  12. There is a strong possiblity that three or four of us from Victorville, Bakersfield, and Fresno may be driving together from Fresno north. We would invite anyone to join. Contact me if you have interest. We do not know yet if on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning early.

  14. I know that this post is quite old but I was facing the same issues with the plastics on my son's 1940 Chrysler Royal. Ended up having to make them myself with plexyglass. Also had to redo the instrument panel but that is another story. Working on the glove compartment (almost done) and the trims for the instrument panel.

  15. For the price of that Weber, you could have 2 Matching Carter B&B carbs, the linkages and stock intake converted to dual intake. Why on earth would anyone entertain a 2 bbl carbs with an adapter plate. I once had this idea, then was shown how inefficient that would be. I would think it might work a bit better with a 2 bbl carb intake, but they did not make one for the long block engines. I do not see or will ever believe a progressive 2 bbl single carb would ever come close to the performance or efficiency of a dual or tri carb properly set up.
