  1. Well I got the new Diamondback wide whites installed today. It was a 16 mile drive home from the shop and so far so good. I like the looks and the way they ride. You can see we have nice fall color - unfortunately it means close to time to put the car to bed for the winter.

  2. The 4th Annual CanAm Curmudgeons Cruise is "in the books". We had 40 Canucks and Yanks in cool cars for a week long blast drinking beer, kickin tires and givin each other carp. All covered about 3K miles, meeting in No. Calif, drivin up the Oregon coast, East along the Columbia River and South to Grant's Pass where we went our separate ways home. The Hemi performed without a hitch except,....the new electric fuel pump failed. Just an hour patching-in another's spare and we were on our way. Life is good. 3. Got new wheels this past summer at the York rod show. They are the new black chrome wheels. Also I finally got the new bumper mounted which really makes the front end complete.

  4. It is against my principles to like that. But, that is really sharp looking. Don't tell anyone I said that.

  6. Pilothouse leftovers are good. Someone may have a need for those or a hoarder will snatch them up. Unfortunately, some of us, me included, don't have the space to store much excess parts. Leftovers from holiday meals are also good. It usually takes me several days to find a home for those and several weeks to work the results of those meals off.

  7. Problem solved. New grd wire from block to solenoid. all works as it did before alternator swap. The puzzling part is that the solenoid originally was grounded to armature in generator. Wire went arm. post on regulator & to generator. Donald Smith explained that that was Chryslers fix to prevent engaging starter after engine was running. I put grd wire to same post & it was grounded thru regulator. I know now that it simply wasn't a good grd. I'm annoyed at myself because I wasted 2 days & several nights on it but according to multimeter, it should have worked. all is good again. Will work on second alternator when I put car up for winter. Thanks, everyone for help or advice Snow is the acronym for Sh*t no one wants.

  8. Thank you very, very much. That's absolutely amazing. I put the pictures on the TV and they are stunning. I stare at them finding it hard to believe what I'm looking at. Thank you.

  14. if you're gonna keep'm both, I'd suggest finishing the daily driver first...if you can pull that off, then ya have one to drive while finishing the restore job. Also, if you lose interest in the daily driver project (I have lost count of how many have done so on this site alone in the last 5 yrs; rescued a couple from the scrap heap myself), then you can cut your losses as the restore job has its own challenges as to how original you want to keep things. You can always park'm in front of the house & call'm yard art, that's what I've done with a few of my rescue projects
